Just watched FOX & Friends and Col Allen West was on live and stated that he will no longer fight for the FL D18 seat. (paraphrasing) He stated that even though they found problems with the way the vote count was handled he said it is not about him but is about what is best for the people of FL D18 so he conceds the seat to Pat Murphy.
I have a feeling we have not seen the last of Col West. Thanks for your service to our country Col West.
The writing is on the wall....Liberal Judges won’t address Democrat Election Fraud, and no matter how many Appeals you make (at very expensive cost of Legal fees), you will ALWAYS run into ONE or MORE Liberal Judges, protecting the Socialist Agenda.
Breaks my heart. I don’t dislike democrats. I hate them.
Ah! Another victory for the proletariat over the bourgeoisie!! Marxism marches on!
Sorry, but I took what they said quite seriously. I DO believe our nation will be turned into a 3rd world $hithole now that Obama's re-elected. My engineering career depended on this election (I'm a Geotechnical Engineer, with a Petroleum Engineering degree, put out of work by the lack of construction in this country and Obama closing down domestic drilling).
That said, the people of the country spoke loud and clear- WE WANT FREE STUFF. I notice the GOP isn't fighting voter fraud (where were those vaunted Green Berets countering Obama's Black Panthers in Philly?), why should I?
Sean Hannity's been on the "Stop Obama, Stop Reid, Stop Pelosi Express" for 2 years, with absolutely nothing to show for it....then he goes on the day after "the most important election of our lifetimes" like it's nothing....except to go on TV with his "good friends" Juan Williams and Bob Beckel.
Dick Morris draws a line in the sand, saying Romney will win in a landslide....the day after Obama kicks Romney's ass, he's talking like the election never happened, "what we're supposed to do now that Obama's re-elected". No, Dick, there has to be accountability.
The left and Democrats may be "good friends" to GOP politicians and talk show hosts...but they're NOT MY FRIENDS. They're THE ENEMY. They're the people who drove our economy into the ground. They try to get as many of our troops crippled and killed with their ridiculous Rules of Engagement just so they'll need the Government-run VA when they get home, They let poor, uneducated immigrants into our country so they can replace the votes of the Democrats who've been birth-controlled, aborted, and/or gayed out of existence...
....and the GOP wants to be their "good friends from across the aisle"....
I predict West will be back to challenge Murphy in 2014.
a BIG FAT DITTO here!!!!
Wonder if he’d be interested in heading a new party. I’ve concluded that the GOP is hopeless-still establishment and controlled by “experts” who foolishly believe that if we also put people into victim groups and pander to them they will vote GOP.
We need a new party based on ideas, principled conservative ideas, not pandering. I firmly believe that someone like West as a figurehead of a new party could start a snowball-effect of defections from the GOP. Or not(maybe I’m delusional)
You really should be mad at the dumba** voters - not those who fought to win this election. Yeah, they all accepted the defeat as though it was just another election.
I don’t like my country right now. It is going to take me a while to get over this fraud and the voters who hoisted it upon us.
Now that is a great comment. Thank you
I agree with all that you said.
I cannot even begin to describe the absolute frustration I’ve had with the people you mentioned, acting like nothing TERRIBLE has happened with the re-election of Obama after getting us “all jacked up.”
My new mission now is to figure out how to get access to some of the “free stuff” paid for by my hard work.
I will also be hoarding guns and ammo.
No. 5 is about the best post I have seen in quite a while.
Democrats are communists, and communists are the enemy of America.
West, to whom I donated $, just pulled a Coleman. He’s history.
Why should he? I wouldn’t want to represent those people. I just couldn’t. With all the fraud that went on, why beat your head against a brick wall? Let them have their drunken Murphy - after all he’s a member of the party of Santa Claus. That’s all voters seem to want any more. The dumb GOP shouldn’t have run McCain in 2008 -he was one horrible candidate. But, hey you know - it was his turn.
I’m just so angry I don’t know what more to say - except I’m not a Republican any more.
I'm so disgusted, I'm looking into that too.
He didn’t pull a Coleman. He knows darned good and well there was fraud, but its very expensive to keep fighting when the courts are against you - and the governor and SOS probably won’t do much to help either. Why would he want to represent a district that treated him so badly? I know I wouldn’t.
'Fraid I agree, but if you have a decent, above the table, documented income, it is awfully hard to get those bennies that are so lavished on the illegals and Democrat welfare classes.
For two weeks since Election Day, we have been working to ensure every vote is counted accurately and fairly. We have made progress towards that goal, thanks to the dedication of our supporters and their unrelenting efforts to protect the integrity of the democratic process. While many questions remain unanswered, today I am announcing that I will take no further action to contest the outcome of this election.
While there are certainly still inaccuracies in the results and the actions of the St. Lucie County and Palm Beach County Supervisors of Elections rightly raise questions in my mind and for many voters, after much analysis and yesterdays recount in St. Lucie County, our legal team does not believe there are enough over-counted, undercounted or fraudulent votes to change the outcome of the election.
While a contest of the election results might have changed the vote totals, we do not have evidence that the outcome would change. Given the extremely high evidentiary hurdles involved in a successful challenge, I will not ask my generous supporters to help fund a drawn-out, expensive legal effort with little chance of success. Therefore, we will not contest the certification or challenge the seating of Congressman-Elect Murphy.
Serving the people in the House of Representatives has been among the highest honors of my life, but this seat does not belong to me, or for that matter, to any individual. It belongs to the people. I want to congratulate my opponent, Patrick Murphy, as the new Congressman from 18th Congressional District. I pray he will serve his constituents with honor and integrity, and put the interests of our nation before his own.
I must thank my wife Angela, and my daughters Aubrey and Austen for their support, patience, understanding and most of all, love. These are three of the toughest women I know. They have sent me off to defend our nation overseas at war and to Capitol Hill to serve our nation in the House of Representatives. They have all handled the challenges of these last few months, and the last many years, with amazing grace. I know they will be my side for whatever is our next chapter.
I must also thank my congressional and campaign staff for their service, and most importantly, I must thank you and our other tremendous supporters who provided their time and money to power our campaign. I am humbled by the dedication and perseverance of our supporters, and their commitment to a free and prosperous America. I cannot thank them enough for all they have done for our campaign, but most importantly, what they have done, and will continue to do for our country. None of us should let the outcome discourage us. We should only redouble our resolve.
Above all, I want to thank God for his blessings, and for blessing me with the opportunity to serve.
Only God knows what is in store for each of us. I have dedicated my life to serving this nation, and the results of this election will not change my purpose. Just as I did in the deserts of Iraq and Afghanistan, just as I did on Capitol Hill, I will continue to fight for our Republic.
Our nation will not overcome our challenges overnight ,and the road ahead for each one of us will not be easy. But this nation would never have become that shining beacon of light if our founders had chosen the easy path 236 years ago. We all must proudly continue their legacy.
God bless you and God bless these United States of America.
Steadfast and Loyal,
Allen B. West
At least he fought it the best he could, that is all that matters.
