If the GOP won't fight for him, why should he? I'm done with the Republican Party and even conservative talk radio, for now. For the past year we heard that "this is the most important election of our lifetime", "this election will determine what our nation will be like the next 40 years", "if Obama is re-elected, there may never be another Presidential election", blah blah blah. Then, after Obama's elected, it's back to business like nothing ever happened.

Sorry, but I took what they said quite seriously. I DO believe our nation will be turned into a 3rd world $hithole now that Obama's re-elected. My engineering career depended on this election (I'm a Geotechnical Engineer, with a Petroleum Engineering degree, put out of work by the lack of construction in this country and Obama closing down domestic drilling).

That said, the people of the country spoke loud and clear- WE WANT FREE STUFF. I notice the GOP isn't fighting voter fraud (where were those vaunted Green Berets countering Obama's Black Panthers in Philly?), why should I?

Sean Hannity's been on the "Stop Obama, Stop Reid, Stop Pelosi Express" for 2 years, with absolutely nothing to show for it....then he goes on the day after "the most important election of our lifetimes" like it's nothing....except to go on TV with his "good friends" Juan Williams and Bob Beckel.

Dick Morris draws a line in the sand, saying Romney will win in a landslide....the day after Obama kicks Romney's ass, he's talking like the election never happened, "what we're supposed to do now that Obama's re-elected". No, Dick, there has to be accountability.

The left and Democrats may be "good friends" to GOP politicians and talk show hosts...but they're NOT MY FRIENDS. They're THE ENEMY. They're the people who drove our economy into the ground. They try to get as many of our troops crippled and killed with their ridiculous Rules of Engagement just so they'll need the Government-run VA when they get home, They let poor, uneducated immigrants into our country so they can replace the votes of the Democrats who've been birth-controlled, aborted, and/or gayed out of existence...

....and the GOP wants to be their "good friends from across the aisle"....

You really should be mad at the dumba** voters - not those who fought to win this election. Yeah, they all accepted the defeat as though it was just another election.

I don’t like my country right now. It is going to take me a while to get over this fraud and the voters who hoisted it upon us.

I agree with all that you said.
I cannot even begin to describe the absolute frustration I’ve had with the people you mentioned, acting like nothing TERRIBLE has happened with the re-election of Obama after getting us “all jacked up.”

My new mission now is to figure out how to get access to some of the “free stuff” paid for by my hard work.

I will also be hoarding guns and ammo.

I'm with ya - I watched Fox and listened to Rush and Hannity for a couple of days after the election and realized it's all just entertainment / political theatre and thats about it. There's no fighting back, no challenging of the straw men or positions on the Sunday shows by those who constantly are invited back to appear, no balls or conviction, just entertainment.

Say one thing about the Libtards like Special Ed, Madcow, and the Rev - they know how to forcefully defend their positions, no matter how wrong they are. And, they're not afraid to offend the other side - until I see the same conviction and fortitude in the "entertainment conservatives" - I'm done with them and will catch up with past episodes of The Office and Seinfeld.

All of us guys that grew up generating testosterone and using it, understand the principle of being pissed off or pissing someone else off and having an after-school fight ... in front of all the girls.

We know you get to a point and something violently one on one must be done ... and it was done !!
Afterwards, more often than not, the two guys were sort'a buddies and whatever the problem was got corrected.

I remember a commercial that ran back in the '60's showing two old men ... the camera on one .. then the other ... and they were breathing hard apparently climbing a hill.

You didn't see all this untill they reached the top of a hill.

Then they put their suit coats down on the ground behind them and strated trading punches.

A couple of 50/60 year old men, weakly but determinedly throwing punches at each other.

NOW the voice over says ..

"Isn't this the way wars should be fought?"

I'm no dove, but I DO believe world problems should be dealt with immediately and with determination.

Even here in the US ... we need a leader to reclaim our nation.

Hannidity is a fraud. It took me about ten times listening to him to decide that. I had a feeling that he was hen he was on t.v. with Colms.I confirmed it to myself by listening to how he inneracts with callers.

Amen to what YOU said.

Reince Priebus did an EXCELLENT job here in Wisconsin to promote GOOD conservative Repbulicans, hence Governor Scott Walker, etc. Then he got tapped for DC and IMHO he was smothered by the big boys. He is a very principled man and it is a shame what has happened to the GOP. Sick of their GOPe attitude towards conservatives. They must go. We did dump Lugar - but got a Dem in his place.

Do any of you remember that when Murkowski was defeated in Alaska primary, GOP sent lawyers to help HER defeat the real winner, Miller??? Well, Murkowski is still there, now isn’t she? I called the Senatorial Office of GOP and was told that “we HAD to send lawyers - she’s a sitting senator!” I said she LOST - LOST - LOST the primary. They blew me off. I gave them a polite but forceful statement back that they would NEVER get my support again.

Fraud is nothing new, nor has it always been the domain of the Dems. Boss Tweed herded drunks to the polls. Andrew Jackson's men flat out PAID for votes AT THE VOTING PLACE. The Republicans cheated very well in the election of 1876.

I understand your anger, but the fact is our side (including many Christian conservatives) just don't want to fight dirty. They are "holier than thou." Believe it or not, this was why many people wanted Romney---cause they thought he would be ruthless and sneaky. He wasn't.

Until we master Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" and internalize the "Anarchist's Cookbook," we will lose. It's time to get in the dirt.

The only people that take this seriously are us, We The People. It is business as usual for the rest of these politicians, consultants, pundits, and talking heads. As much as I have struggled with the concept, I can't help feeling now that the elected GOP (with very few exceptions) are just the other side of the same political establishment coin as the Dims. They all can go out a talk a good game when they think they need to, but under the surface they are on the same team, and that team doesn't include us. It is painful to accept it, and I think that is why a lot of us wanted to believe that there was a difference, that somehow we could affect change by voting. It has been like absorbing a 2 week punch to the gut since this election.

(I hope that you will be able to find gainful employment in a field somehow related to your expertise, all the best on that FRiend!)

That was my attitude when I joined FR in 1999. Since then, I’ve been told to “hold my nose”, “vote against the other guy”, “We must all back the same horse”, “hang together or hang separately”, and every other corny aphorism folks could drum up to convince me it was ok to sell out my principles to back a GOP lame horse.

No more. Period. End of line.

If this Country is on an Express rail-line to Hades, then it may be time to blow the tracks and hope some few survive the crash.

You are right. I, myself, left talk radio and TV on Bloody Thursday during the primary because I knew what was happening. Have not been back since (honest) and feel so much better. I get my news local and on the web. Hannity is old news; I can’t see how people follow him the way they do. I lost respect from Rush when he said Newt was a bold conservative with ideas to get things done in Washington. same week.. on air, he admits he got a phone call from the Romney camp saying that he, Rush was too positive with Newt. Since that, he was criticizing Newt at each turn. They have played a lot of listeners. I am glad I got out of the cycle of spin. I think they said he would win in a landslide to get people out to vote so people would feel good about being on a winning side. Though in truth, they knew the base had issues with the candidate. And you can bet ElRushbo knows who the GOP/RNC has up for next bat.

That's what I want to know. They announced this on Fox News. Does anyone remember what group this was?

There were a lot of other groups that might easily have done it, but they thought it was covered. It almost makes you think this was planned. Announce and don't show up.

You’ve articulated much of what I’ve been thinking.

It really does feel like Groundhog Day:

Most important election of our lifetime. Shame us into voting for someone we don’t like. Send money. Pound the pavement. Work the phones. Ignore the polls. Get out and VOTE. Don’t question fraud.

Why bother? Once again, the GOP got their dream candidate—another “electable” moderate with an actual, liberal record, who still managed to be painted as extreme.

Really, I think the GOP’s just in it at this point to quibble over the scraps of what used to be the USA. Election results really don’t affect the party bigwigs; their lives go on as usual. Different matter for the rest of us tho and I wholly accept that now.

Takers now outnumber the makers. I’m over it. Nothing left to do except hope that our decline’s well managed, hunker down, practice my faith and enjoy what small amount of liberty remains.

And good luck to the GOP in building its new and improved coalition of... Whoever.
