I don’t want a captain who thinks any day is a good day to die.

Not Worf—it’s Woof. Ask Lwaxana Troi.

There was a short lived, but highly rated cartoon called Captain Simian and the Space Monkeys, that used the voice talent of both Michael Dorn and Jerry Doyle of Babylon 5.
Unfortunately, most people didn’t look past the premise of the show to see the rather good science fiction within.
Likewise, when it was finally put out on DVD, the quality was awful, poorly designed and with no extras. The cheapest possible job, which is a pity for a series that could have been something of a cult favorite, like the spinoff Star Trek, the Animated Series, which had good enough writing to be considered canon to the series, by many.

It was only when Worf joined DS9 that the ratings spiked and became watchable.

The last season, especially the last half of it,was the very best Star Trek, bar none. A lot of the reason is Michael Dorn.

If you meant the DOMINION arc storyline, it beats the tired Borg’ storyline by a mile. The DS9 supporting cast was weak except for Chief O Brien and Quark.
Plus they didn’t have a hot chick in the series like T’Pol, Seven of Nine etc. Maybe that’s why it’s underrated LOL

I hope it’s on Showtime. Star Trek needs nudity.

worf never became captain ... he ended up on an outpost somewhere
of course, this will just be another play on the black-man-as-leader motif they’ve been shoving down out throats since before 2008
