A mother bear and her three cubs broke into a Norwegian cabin this week, reportedly drinking more than 100 beers, eating all the food and even knocking over a wall.

"They had a hell of a party in there," owner Even Borthen Nilsen told The Local. "The entire cabin was destroyed."

Outdoor Ping!

In the Sierras, I met a cabin resort owner. Snow at his lodge would come up to the roof, so they had a roof hatch to get into the place during the winter (it was closed to guests for the winter). Some bears broke in and drank several gallons of cooking oil. He said it took them days to clean up all the bear crap.

Oh they took one down and passed it around
99 bottles of beer on the wall!

And now we know what happens to the wall when it is empty.

Yes, I remember the Hamm’s commercials, but I don’t think I ever drank any. Don’t recall a beer called Lucky here in Maryland, but it may have been around.

Or do you mean Lucky Strike cigarettes? I remember that each pack had some sort of tape going over the foil and that lifting the tape would reveal some series of letters— or perhaps it was numbers. I am sure they were connected with some sort of lot/inventory codes at the factory, but my older sister always seemed to find the ones on the ground that gave her the signal to punch me in the arm. :) Memory is a little fuzzy on this. I’ll have to ask her about it when I see her the Sunday.

Sorry, but I did not go to your link, as I refuse to give hits to the Obama-Soros-loving Google’s YouTube.

I know the difference between beer and cigarettes and I have never smoked a cigarette in my life so no, it was not Lucky Strike, it was Lucky Lager brand Beer. But that was California, not Maryland.

Thanks everybody! HotShot was a registered tri-colored Leopard Appaloosa with more personality than any horse should have. LOL Some thought he was the ugliest horse they had ever seen and some thought he was the prettiest. He had more endurance than 10 horses. He would go all day and still be going strong and not even be breathing hard when the others were lathered and standing under a tree to rest. The big bay in the picture was part Thoroughbred and he couldn’t keep up with HotShot in endurance.

I believe the story of why the U.S. Army slaughtered and almost caused Apps to become extinct during the Indian wars. The Appaloosa’s that the Native Americans rode could ride the Army’s horses in the ground and keep on going. Wonderful horses but not for everybody!

Okay, sorry, I did not mean to imply that you had been a smoker.

Hamm’s was sold in Maryland, but I never heard of Lucky. Don’t worry, my sister and I were not smoking Lucky Strikes, either, as we were only in grade school. The cigarette packs in question were roadside litter.

Lol! Bump for Adrian Belew, I’m sitting here listening to “Stage”, Bowies live album released in 74. Belew did lead guitar on that tour.

Belew is an extraordinary guitar player. But he did alot of studio backing, and never got the name recognition he deserved.

And God does that bring back memories - 29 years ago tonight, I saw Bowie in the Tacoma Dome, first ever concert in the Dome. Took one of the most beautiful, drop dead gorgeous Irish Catholic gals a guy could ever meet.

Cathy.

Excellent concert! Great time hanging out with her! Odd situation, we would bump into each other and hang out, went to dinner, dancing, doing all sorts of things, but never called it dating and never called each other BF or GF. Lost touch. Way 2 bad. I was seriously in love with that gal.
