First your photo must be hosted on a web site like Photobucket - it is free to open an account. You upload your photo to your account. Photobucket supplies the html code you will need to post to FR.

In addition to all of the other advice, the syntax has to be EXACT. A missing “ or < or> will deem the link to be unreadable and, hence, won’t work. Spelling has to be EXACT, too.
