On Sunday’s “Face the Nation” on CBS, Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum explained that his view of the Trayvon Martin shooting differed significantly from the one held by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
Gingrich was critical of President Barack Obama’s reaction, but Santorum placed the blame on accused shooter George Zimmerman’s mental state.
“Well, you know, obviously, I’m not privy to what’s going on in someone’s mind,” Santorum said. “Obviously, in my opinion, someone … has a very sick mind who would pursue someone like this. This is clearly a heinous act. You know, there are a lot of people who have a lot of distorted views of reality. It’s a tragic, tragic case. And my heart goes out to the parents, too. I can’t imagine what they’re suffering, losing their son in such a horrific way. All I would say is that, whatever the motive is, it was a malicious one, and a very, very tragic one.”

Why have an investigation or trial? Sanctimonious, self-appointed judge Santorum has pronounced Zimmerman guilty.

No, I'm not the one "electing" Obama by doing so. It's those who vote for Obama and the twits that nominated Santorum that re-elected Obama.
Everyone has to be a pop star when the spotlight shines. Does Rick think this is the way for a Republican to get votes? He should have the good graces to wait until the facts are known, and then go for his fifteen minutes.
America is done! The truth is coming out about this and even on the Republican side, they are buying into the media spin on this that this is another white on black hate crime (never mind that Zimmerman isn’t white). Egg will be on a ton of white faces when this kids criminal past is revealed and Zimmermans killing of this is rule self defense. But even if it ruled justfiable, Eric Holder will step in make sure the deed is done
Santorum is s stupid idiot and needs to drop out now. He is no conservative, just another guilty white liberal.
If Santorum is the nominee I will not vote for him. If Romeny is the nominee, I will not vote for him. Only Newt at this point has my vote, but he isn’t going to be the nominee.
In the meantime Obama has successfully achieved a permanent racial divide in this country where blacks have all the power. Blacks are untouchable. If a black kid points a gun in your face and react in self defense and kill the bastard, you are a deplorable, evil white racist.
Whites are subservant to blacks and other minorities now. There are enough minorities and guilty white liberals to keep Obama in power permanently.
The only question is, how soon before America fully collapses?

I keep TRYING to like Rick Santorum. and every time I do, he just proves he is nothing but an arrogant assclown. I can’t believe that Mittens is the only one showing proper restraint, and letting the justice system take its course.
It is now Gingrich or third party.A few hours ago I did not share that sentiment. Now I do.

Maybe Rick needs to read the latest reports about how Martin was on top of Zimmerman beating him to a bloody pulp before he calls Zimmerman a “Sick man”

I don't want anyone who doesn't wait for all the facts to come in before making these stupid remarks to be in charge of our military.
Zimmerman had no right to be pursuing this kid. This kid had an iced tea and skittles. Zimmerman was not even registered as an official neighborhood watchman.
The guy stalked this kid down and killed him. That is malicious and disturbed.

Big difference between a poster on FR and a public political figure on national television. If Zimmerman was on trial for murder right now, he would have grounds for mistrial and possible dismissal in his pocket.
