As we all know, free republic is a conservative website.
So, I would like to know what views freepers have that can, correctly or incorrectly, be labeled as "extremely," or in the words of Mitt Romney, "severely" conservative.
Note that I am not saying whether any of these views are right or wrong. I'm just interested in what freepers think.

I would ask what article permits it? The court may have ruled it "Speech" but it most assuredly is not. My understanding of the purpose of the 1rst amendment protection of "freedom of speech" was to prevent the then common practice of retaliation to political speech that was disapproved by the government. (Such as complaints of incompetence or malfeasance.)

I agree. The Culture has deteriorated to the point where a Constitution is relatively meaningless. As John Adams said:

1) Is Barack Obama the worst president ever? In recent history, yes. I don’t think we can accurately claim that he’s the worst ever since we didn’t live in previous centuries and don’t really know the depth of the historical revisionism that hs occured.
2) Is Barack Obama intentionally destroying America? IMO, yes.
3) Should the Kaaba be destroyed? No response. I don’t know what that is.
4) Should Mecca be nuked? Depends on whether we want to experience a really nasty world war or not. Certainly, I have no love for the symbolism of Mecca, but nuking it!??
5) Should Mecca and Medina be nuked? See #4.
6) Should Tehran be nuked? What’s with nuking everything? We have ways of taking control of rogue contries without turning all their capitals into glass.
7) Should Muslim immigration to America be restricted? More than restricted, it should be immediatly halted. EVERY muslim holds Islam as their highest priority whther they are American converts or not.
8) Should the president claim that Islam is the motivation for terrorist Islamic terrorism? Yes. Especially since it’s true!
9) Should war be declared on Islam? Whether I like or dislike Islam I think that declaring war on ANY religion is a slippery slope. What;s to stop someone else from declaring war on Catholics, or Lutherans, or Baptists, or Mormons . . . . . you get the point.
10) Should the draft be brought back? Yes.
11) Are you opposed to taxpayer funded public schooling? No. Iam opposed to union controlled public schooling and politicians throwing money at the public schools with no requirement for the quality or caliber of the education.
12) Should America return to the gold standard? Perhaps. It will stabilize the currency. However, returning to a standard doesn’t buy us much when we allow our elected representatives to throw OUR money into any pot they choose. Should such a return occur, we must also severely limit and control what they can spend.
13) Should the Fed be abolished? Yes. I see no purpose that it serves.
14) Should social security be phased out? Absolutely!!!
15) Should there be anti-trust laws? Up to a point. Unfortunately, I’m not smart enough to know what that point is, but I know that too much anti-trust regulation leads to repression and we don’t want that!
16) Should the production of money be privatized? No. In a way, that’s how it was under the Articles of Confederation and each state printed their own currency. It was a disaster.
17) Should pornography be restricted? Yes. Children should absolutely be prevented from encountering it and liberals should absolutely be prevented from creating it!
18) Should divorce and remarriage be restricted? No. Everyone makes mistakes and making it too difficult to get out of a bad marriage only leads to spousal abuse, domestic battery or the murder of entire families. I think it is much more appropriate that couples anticipating getting married be required to attend some pretty intense training to understand the challenges they will encounter as a married couple. Too many young couples are just clueless and too immature for marriage.
19) Should the availability of abortifacient contraceptives be restricted? Yes. Abortion, like marriage, itself, has some major consequences and should not be allowed like ordering popcorn at the concession stand.
20) Should the availabilty of non-abortifacient contraceptives be restricted? Only to the extent that they are available to adults who have attained their majority.
21) Should laws against sodomy be instituted? Why? It’s basically unenforceable and I want Congress and the state legislatures to be limited in the number of laws they can pass. Unenforceable laws just take up space but serve no fundamental purpose. There are better ways to address this issue.
22) Are you morally opposed to masturbation? Not if it can be used in a way that avoids sex outside of marriage. There are too many single parents, too many kids lacking a nuclear family perhaps because this practice is considered so socially distasteful. It doesn’t have to be endorsed n a broad scale but, if it can keep two kids from potentially producing an out-of-wedlock child, it’s worth considering.
