My wife just returned from her annual physical. She was told she is in fine health. That's the good news.
The bad news is that ObamaCare requires one's physician to formally note in the records of Medicare recipients the following question:
"If paramedics are called to your house because of a medical emergency, do you want to be revived?"
At first I thought she was joking. She was not.
I know they had to pass ObamaCare "so we could find out what was in it." Isn't it delightful now as we discover all the surprises it contains?
Palin was 100% correct in describing ObamaCare as DeathCare.
I hope everyone on Medicare learns of this latest little surprise.
I went in for a general check up and was asked if I was suicial. Huh? Sure, I always go in to make sure I’m healthy enough to slash my wrists.
My kids were asked if there were guns in the house and got a lecture about it. Smart kids rolled their eyes. That doctor is no longer at the clinic.
Once they get it completely going there won’t be any asking.
Some Political appointee will be making that decision for you before the EMTs even arrive.
No doubt they will be reviewing your files...
“Oh I see he is a registered Republican...”
reaching for phone
“This is the Health registry Ministry, this is a DNR patient, administer two asprin and collect the 500 dollar copay”.
No longer at the clinic? If I were you I’d be filing a formal complaint with the state licensing board.
My son’s pediatrician thinks archery and firearms training are good for kids.
I wouldn’t get too excited about that. It isn’t 0bamacare... It is something that everyone should do. It is the most basic part of a ‘Living Will / Advanced Healthcare Directive” and EMTs and ER docs are glad to have the information.
Simply tell them what you want them to do.
Do you vant to sign ziss Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) Order?
No, thank you.
Vy not, it vill be bettah foah ze planet eeeff you ahe no LONGEh on it.
Yes, but I already HAVE a Living Will, and it has detailed instructions on what to do if I am ever incapacitated.
ZIGN ZEE PAPAH!!! YOU SELFISH BOURGEOIS PIECE OF IMPERIALIST RUBBISH!!! SSSINK UFFFF ZEE KINDERN SINK OFF ZEE ONES MIT KEINE HEALTHCAYAH. ZIIIGGGGN!!
No, a Living Will is a Living Will. A note in your doctor’s file cabinet is NOT a Living Will.
I said it was the most basic PART.
There are a million things to get upset about in the idiotic healthcare system that is being foisted upon us.
This isn’t one of them.
This is just common sense. Tell them what you want. That is all there is to it.
Worry when they DON’T give you a choice.
You would be peeing up a rope. Because in most states, that question is required by law when a Pediatrician is completing his file on your kids.
My husband and I have both signed our “advanced health care directive”, and, among other things, we have stated that in the event either of our hearts stop, we do not want “CPR”.
I did some research, and only about 5% of those patients getting CPR are successfully resuscitated, and often have broken ribs and punctured lungs as a result.
Given that my husband has Parkinson’s, he wouldn’t be able to recover with those injuries anyway.
But, everyone feels very differently about this subject, and the individual really needs to have his/her wishes respected.
“If paramedics are called to your house because of a medical emergency, do you want to be revived?”
Will Zero still be in office?
I should have included a link, because people get testy when info is provided that they find uncomfortable.
So, here is a link that supports my decision.

Yep. I fully agree.
That’s why I told the OP to not get upset over a common sense question.
Our doc’s office is stacked with gun and hunting magazines....and he’s a biker.
We better hope the internet is running real smooth that day.
I recently took...a couple Med Students out hunting and pistol shooting.
We never saw the doe...step out. But we shot my .270 just for fun....
Then went out and shot some pistols....We all had fun, they learned some things, and enjoyed themselves.
A good time was had by all....I know my future SIL...will always be a 2nd Amendment guy..his friend I think will be too!!
Training, and giving them understanding...is what it takes!!
Please provide links that most states require this.......
