Anti-government extremists opposed to taxes and regulations pose a growing threat to local law enforcement officers in the United States, the FBI warned on Monday.
These extremists, sometimes known as "sovereign citizens," believe they can live outside any type of government authority, FBI agents said at a news conference.
The extremists may refuse to pay taxes, defy government environmental regulations and believe the United States went bankrupt by going off the gold standard.

Not that sh!t again. The last time that the elderly 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus spoiled brats and their spoiled-brat issue (the Clinton Adm.) controlled the government they spent all effort watching them Christians.
Meanwhile radical Muslims were taking lessons on how to fly wide-body jet liners into office buildings.
you forgot the whole *law* that allows citizens to be detained, indefinately, at the whim of the totus...
FBI warning not just to those who have denounced their citizenship but to the rest of those EXTREMEISTS (70% of the American population) who think the government is too intrusive.
Extremists = “Followers of The Constitution”
anyone that isn’t a government employee is an extremist as far as our ruling elite and their agents paid by the taxpayers are concerned
“The Democrats arent afraid of guns. They just want to be sure theyre the ones telling people who to point the guns at.”

Oh boy, here it comes. There will be, for some reason, a martial law declared before November.

As the Feds become more extremist tyrants of the Left an increasing amount of Americans move to the Right who don’t want any part of that.
I forget but how many members of obama’s admin owe back taxes again?
I’m sure I would be tagged an extremist, though I advocate following all laws - render unto Caesar. I’ve written two books that explain how we are being forced as citizens to the edge by political and monetary policy:
“Going Galt: Surviving Economic Armageddon” http://www.futurnamics.com/goinggalt.php
“Surviving Civil War II” http://www.futurnamics.com/civilwar.php
Because we are spending as a nation 40% more than we pay in taxes, the Fed Reserve must destroy the currency. That is taxation without representation, because inflation is a tax. To survive, citizns will have to take measures to protect themselves against the ravages of inflation (biflation really). Those measures are always throughout history eventually made illegal by the state.
My advice is to stay completely legal, but to take the measures you can to get off the roller coaster. There’s quite a lot you can do. The state won’t like it, but from verything I can see we are headed towards a Greek like economic collapse, so it will be every man for himself.
WOW!
That says it all!
If it's your slogan, copyright it, now.
“sovereign citizens”
I REALLY hate to say this but I know a few SC types. They really have gone off the deep end and believe they can live in the US, consider themselves covered by the privileges of the Constitution but then claim they have no responsibility to pay taxes, obey reasonable laws, or answer to our courts. They are like liberals: Little children that are anti-authoritarian.
I recall reading about that vote— extending the Homeland Security bill passed in the Senate a few months back.
My reading on it was somewhat hurried, but one commentator noted that the “indefinite extension” provisions applied specifically to individuals associated with the events of 9-ll and the parties responsible.
In other words, it was pretty well limited to a specific group of terrorists of a specific event, not a broad and general designation.
On the other hand, the decision announced by the administration (last year, or two years ago? ) to strike the word Islamist or Muslim from any reference to terrorism (arguing that it was defamatory or prejudiced or some such) was ominous.
Maybe somebody with a better grasp on this can fill in here.
