Those of us of a certain age will remember the cheeky-faced young man who burst onto our screens and encouraged us all to ditch school for the day.

Now, almost three decades on, that irresistible truant Ferris Bueller, the sausage king of Chicago, is back - and this time he's taking a day off work.

Matthew Broderick is set to reprise his most famous role after a ten-second clip was posted on YouTube, showing the actor, now 49, acting a famous line from the 1986 film - with a 2012 twist.

Absolutely agree re: the car and the response that should have happened. Love the movie, though; I skip the whole Cameron car scene as it infuriates me! Would enjoy watching a sequel, for sure.

LOL...Cameron probably had to skip college so he could work and is still paying off the debt!

I remember that. I saw it with my wife-to-be and her fellow library manager / lady friend. They felt the same way. However, I thought it was mostly funny.

Charlie Sheen could still have his old role back.

Xer Ping

Ping list for the discussion of the politics and social (and sometimes nostalgic) aspects that directly effects Generation Reagan / Generation-X (Those born from 1965-1981) including all the spending previous generations are doing that Gen-X and Y will end up paying for.

Yes, the Xer ping is still going, these last couple months just have been real slow news and ping wise.

I don’t get the current trend of straw-like, plastered-together hair that looks like a pet dog chewed it off.

But at least when you're mussing her hair, she won't be any the worse off for it.

BTW, I volunteer.

Ferris “ lived” a block from here. As did the American Pie kid.

And I know the Chicago family who owns the glass garage. Weird connections to that movie.

The plot should be Ferris as a struggling attorney who decides to represent principal Rooney, who is sitting in prison after being convicted of pedophilia.....
