Living in China and reporting on gadgets, we get to see our fair share of unofficial merchandise from Chinese manufacturers. These knock-offs can range from fake iPad 2 smart covers, to complete replicas of iPhones of even MacBooks!
Sometimes though a Chinese made gadget crops up which combines the ancient Chinese art of the knock off with a complete lack of consideration for the law and copyright infringements, and this Commemorative Steve Jobs Android tablet is a perfect example!
Not only have Shenzhen Lingyun, the company behind this 7-inch Android tablet, made a tablet which resembles the look of the iPhone 4 and 4S, but they have gone the whole hog and place the image of the late Steve Jobs on the screen and are marketing it as a Commemorative Steve Jobs Android Tablet!
Not only is the idea of a Commemorative Steve Jobs Android Tablet an oxymoron, but it is also pretty disrespectful to the memory of the Apple founder!
The tablet itself is a fairy normal 7-inch Android tablet, which can be found branded as the LY-F-4S, features a PV210 processor, 512M memory, 4G storage, built-in Bluetooth, WiFi, front facing camera.
In the past we have also come across an unofficial Angry Birds version of the Wopad V7 Android tablet, and we have heard rumors of a Plants Vs. Zombies model heading for stores soon too!
If you want on or off the Mac Ping List, Freepmail me.
Heh...For Apple folks this is a winner! Actually, have a hard time understanding the Apple crazies (must love the apple logo), but it does seem to sell Apple products.
I really think that if this was political, Apple would win by a large margin...heh.
“Good Taste?” yeah, we’ve heard of it. ...
Safari on my iPad crashes way too much.
Safari on my iPad crashes way too much.
Heh, I do use the term carefully... heh... Apple users seems to be very sensitive.
In reality, Apple products are very expensive and the only benefit that I see is that they are popular and part of the young experience. That’s okay, us older folks could never figure out why this occurs...ha.
Listen, they have their place.
I am a power PC guy. I build my own machines, and I have an extremely powerful huge Win 7/Linux machine for real stuff.
Like almost anything you can think of... it’s all better on a pc. But living in Manhattan, with my “mobile life”, the Macbook Air, Iphone combo can’t be beat.
Mac does the simple stuff (email, web browsing, reading) very well in the ultraportable space.
I can bring my Macbook Air anywhere, and even telnet into my win7 machine on the go.
....Commemorative Steve Jobs Android tablet....
How much?
Oh, never mind.
Yes, you are right in some respects.
It is just that technology has long ago caught up with Apple and many products can do as you state. Just don’t tell Apple enthusiasts that!...heh.
After all, if it doesn’t say Apple, it can’t do the common things like email, web browsing, etc...heh...
Sorry, but that is just so much bunk!
Or you can get two laptops and two phones for the same price :)
Oh I don't know - ripped-off, unaccredited technology made in China seems like a pretty accurate memorial to me.
I really didn’t have to see NJ in your screenname. It was written all over your post.
Well, I have to agree that there products do seem to be user friendly. My Sister would agree!
That does NOT negate the fact that they are very expensive and seem to be a “popular” item, one of those have to have items of the young. That is an advertisement result.
Apple does have some nice products - just way too expensive, but they do have the Apple logo...
I might add that “cheapest and fully functional” are just your statements - no basis in reality...
Don't bother, he won't. He's just trolling [*cough*] trying to see how far he can draw you out...
:)
Heh... True to some extent... My sister is an Apple enthusiast so I take some umbrage... She does love her Apple products - would have to agree...
I simply think they are too expensive and seem to be a product of crazed enthusiasts instead of a balanced approach - kind of like a factual review.
There are factual reviews out there and yes, they do praise the Apple product, but they will also discuss their limitations. That is something that many seem unable to do.
