Heh, I do use the term carefully... heh... Apple users seems to be very sensitive.

In reality, Apple products are very expensive and the only benefit that I see is that they are popular and part of the young experience. That’s okay, us older folks could never figure out why this occurs...ha.

Listen, they have their place.

I am a power PC guy. I build my own machines, and I have an extremely powerful huge Win 7/Linux machine for real stuff.

Like almost anything you can think of... it’s all better on a pc. But living in Manhattan, with my “mobile life”, the Macbook Air, Iphone combo can’t be beat.

Mac does the simple stuff (email, web browsing, reading) very well in the ultraportable space.

I can bring my Macbook Air anywhere, and even telnet into my win7 machine on the go.

Apple offers the cheapest fully-functional tablet and the cheapest thin-and-light notebook. Their other offerings are either among the cheapest or the absolute cheapest at the given range of specifications and have built-in advantages, like the ability to legally boot every OS, that others do not.

It's not a matter of a "young experience". Again, try using the products for an appreciable amount of time.

If all you’re looking at is a spec sheet, Apple products look bad. It’s where you’re actually using the things day after day that you realize why Apple is so good.

I bought my first MacBook Pro last year - it IS a better machine in every respect.

I have built some twenty computers (windows) for myself and friends; I am now 62 years-old.
