I couldn't wear them that high, ouch!
It's actually very bad for growing girls to wear heels. While they are growing it can cause the tendons in their calves to not fully develop, if they were them a lot. It can cause tendinitis and shin splints in some cases.
But I really do, appreciate a beautiful high heel, it's just safer for me not to wear them. LOL

And the look that drove the development of the high heel had less to do with how it made the foot look and more to do with how it formed the calf (contracting the muscle high in the back of the calf and creating a greater taper from knee to ankle). So you're telling me that Hillary walked around with five-inch TOE supports...

LOL! I’m sure you are right, but I would be willing to bet my Keds that they were not 5 inch heels. Even my mom who always tells me stories of when they would shop downtown wearing heels, hats AND gloves will admit that they weren’t 5 inch heels. They were the normal high heels of the day. We can see them easily by watching movies from the 40s and 50s.
