I believe that the ruling class politicians see Palin as a real threat to their status quo, and her postponement of announcing her candidacy as a hindrance to their stopping her.
One way to force her hand earlier than she intends is to move up the primaries.
Anybody else see a pattern here?
Brilliant!
It’s all about Palin, except when it’s not.
It’s all about Palin, except when it’s not.
ROFL!
>She absolutely sounded like thats all it is.
She’s a Christian, right? She doesn’t have a Messiah complex. She knows that if God wants to lift/destroy this country, He can do it no matter who is holding the title or in the office.
Right?
If Sarah Palin is leading a nation of Christians in sin, would God lift such a nation up? No.
If an evil person is president, and it’s a nation of righteous Christians living clean lives, will God destroy such a nation? No.
It’s just an office. It’s just a title. She knows who runs the show.
And ConservativeGG is owed a sincere apology by those who have been flaming her.
But why was Palin allowed to continue her weird non-campaign for so long? Why did her supporters only fawn on her, every time she slighted them?
If I may, I will cite some words from Ayn Rand, a great woman and a great thinker:
"The hardest thing to explain is the glaringly evident which everybody had decided not to see." -- Ayn Rand
I remember as a young lady and all the others were fawning over the likes of the Beatles and Elvis, etc. I considered that behavior wrong for the same reason then and when I see people acting this way now, it turns me off. No human is worthy of that kind of praise.
Cult of personality. Frightening isn't it? This is a good lesson that human nature is what it is, and even people with learned, common sense conservative political beliefs can fall into the trap of glorifying an individual to the point they believe that person infallible.
Yes, ConservativeGG unfairly took a lot of abuse and venom for speaking the truth. She handled it well, consistently responded thoughtfully and is a most impressive member of the conservative community.
As to the Palin fanatics who were blinded and couldn't even rationally discuss anything to do with Sarah, well, I hope they learn a lesson from this. It was an unhealthy obsession and it's good this chapter is finally closed.
Excellent analysis. Yes, it was an unhealthy obsession.
And now that is it clear those of us who said Palin wasn't running were right, do you still think Sarah was playing games with her supporters? You spammed that very thing endlessly and were extremely condescending and hostile towards anyone who questioned your absolute certainty in this matter.
Does your parole officer know your on the Interwebs again?
the october 30 deadline never moved or changed.
Ahh, your as obnoxious and hateful as ever. Not surprising. Might want to take that stupid blather you’ve been spamming all over the forums off your profile page. As many of us tried to tell you, there was never any great Palin plan to outwit or outmaneuver anyone.
So what’s the excuse now?
BTW, told ya so.
Excuse for what?
Your behavior for the past I don’t know, 3 years or so?
I don’t expect you to own up to your gang type tactics and tacit approval of those that derided many good conservatives over the years on this site due to their disagreements with/about Palin.
I expect bluster and continued denial of the obvious.
And I haven't posted on Palin threads for 3 years. And aren't you disregarding all the House members that were elected in 2010 that Palin supported?
Your problem is that you want to "get even" with everyone that disagreed with you. Isn't that rather childish? I still disagree with you. So what?
Huh? I've argued with you on many Palin threads recently. You and a few others treated anyone who questioned anything about Palin or her intention (or lack thereof) to run with absolute snark, obnoxiousness and in some cases pure venom.
I still disagree with you. So what?
What could you disagree with now? You and some others were certain Palin was running, that she had some grand plan, that she was outmaneuvering everyone, etc. It was all a bunch of garbage. Those of us who said Palin wasn't doing anything to lay the ground work for a campaign, that her chosen path since resigning her gig as governor did not lend itself to running for or being president, that she just flat out wasn't going to be candidate were all 100% correct. Just be decent about it, own up to having been completely wrong and move on. In the big picture we are all on the same side and will eventually let bygones be bygones anyway.
