A Mexican national was executed Thursday for the rape-slaying of a teenager after the U.S. Supreme Court turned down a White House-supported appeal to spare him in a death penalty case where Texas justice triumphed over international treaty concerns. Humberto Leal, 38, received lethal injection for the 1994 murder of Adria Sauceda. She was fatally bludgeoned with a piece of asphalt. Leal was pronounced dead at 6:21 p.m. EDT (2221 GMT).

Time for an amicable separation. How about an un-amicable ass stomping of the liberal horde, followed by wholesale revocation of citizenship and deportation to the Socialist Utopia of their choice?
I'm not up for giving a single square inch of my beloved country to the statists, liberals, leftists, Marxists, Commies, and other assorted freaks and misfits.

Since Leal wanted in the worst way to avoid being put to death...I`d get a laugh out of someone calling the execution cell to inform Leal the Governor has granted a reprieve...
..as they appear to remove the restraints, the execution team does a 180 and cinches him back down again..

Most of them are fairly short so you can read them in just a few hours. I started liking westerns when I was a preteen when I read the Zane Gray books. He wrote a stand alone, “Remember the Alamo”. I have a bunch on my ipad. I think Wal Mart sells them but I get them on Amazon. Let me know how you like them. Oh, with the mountain men books try to start with the 1st ones. They set the stage for all of the others. Guess that goes with the Eagles, too. Oh, there is another western series, Bloodbond about an Indian and a white boy who grew up together and are adults fighting crime in the old west.

Yet God somehow made an exception for King David who engineered the death of Bathsheba’s husband after fooling around with Bathsheba. The prophet Nathan was later to say to David in the Holy Spirit, “You killed Uriah with the sword of the Assyrians.” If one says that this is because as king nobody had authority over him, one might note that at that time God wasn’t at all shy about supernatural smiting with the reason being obvious. Deposing David from the throne to allow it to happen would also have been an option for God. And priests could have been divinely sent to the task even at their own risk and would have obeyed.
The only logical conclusion is that while capital punishment is permissible to governments for defense against evil, and stands as a symbol of vengeance of blood, it isn’t the “must” that you’re reading into this.

Seems to me those of the religious sorts among us, would view it differently... Christians should never rejoice when the death penalty is employed...
Yes, I agree! The belief in the Catholic Church, is that no one should be executed unless they are a clear danger to those around them even while being incarcerated. Maybe that was the case with this guy, but still, to
applaud his death seems violent, just like he was violent.

[I predict the Supreme Court will eventually deem em to be unconstitutional.]
That's why we MUST all vote for the candidate against Obama. Ruth Bader Ginsburg can't hold on much longer and the next pick for SCOTUS is of supreme importance.

That would have been the 2nd point I was going to make. Jesus never came to save us from the law of man, he came to save us from the burden of the law of God.

Adultery while a sin is not comparable to a vicious murder nor the calculated murder of a baby in the womb. While I agree with your second premise, God hates all sin with equal measure. Christ didn't go to the Cross to save us from just the worst sins. He died to save us from all of them.
