Most of them are fairly short so you can read them in just a few hours. I started liking westerns when I was a preteen when I read the Zane Gray books. He wrote a stand alone, “Remember the Alamo”. I have a bunch on my ipad. I think Wal Mart sells them but I get them on Amazon. Let me know how you like them. Oh, with the mountain men books try to start with the 1st ones. They set the stage for all of the others. Guess that goes with the Eagles, too. Oh, there is another western series, Bloodbond about an Indian and a white boy who grew up together and are adults fighting crime in the old west.

I read all the wagon’s west series. They did get repetitious. I’ll definitely get some of these you recommend and read them. It’s a perfect time to sit in the sun and read and escape from the realities of current events. We only have 2-3 months of good weather.
