All of these dogs were rescued from being shot by the local reservation Animal Control(FWP) in Montana, so they are safe now.
I am trying to help Rene and Anita find foster homes or even better yet forever homes for them. There are lots of puppies not pictured yet as they have a small "cough" that Rene wants a vet to take a look at first. Once she gets an OK from the vet, they will either be transferred to another rescue or to permanent homes if possible.
The ones that say pregnant females on them have places to go so that they can whelp their pups and wean them, then be spayed/neutered.
Yes all of these dogs are in MT. Please post and let people know there are puppies, and more pictures to come. The album name is 32 minus one because there are 32 dogs/puppies that need to be posted and will be as the two ladies get a chance to get pictures taken of them, and get them posted.
The friend of mine that posted this on her Facebook is very involved with them - to the point of almost losing her rental home because of how many of the rescued animals she has fostered. She cannot stand to think of an animal being put down because no one wants it. She has been a friend of our daughters' since 1996.
I asked her permission to post this and I'm asking whoever handles the pet ping to ping your folks, if you don't mind. I will also post this on the MT board.
Thank you in advance for anything you can do to help these animals.

Oh no, this housing market is too terrible. From the title I thought they wanted whole actual houses to be given to the dogs to live in by themselves. Like a “habitat for caninity”.
On a serious note, it is always nice to get an adopted dog or cat, if you really like animals.
Thanks Joe!
Here is info on the RezQ Dogs organization:
“RezQ Dogs is a volunteer organization, located in north-central Montana, commit...ted to helping the unwanted and abandoned dogs from the Fort Belknap and Rocky Boy Indian reservations.
RezQ Dogs does not operate a facility open to the public. All dogs are fostered in our homes or in the homes of our volunteer foster families. We receive no governmental or tribal funding and operate solely on private donations, fundraisers, adoption fees and grants.

Here is a Montana Freeper Ping in hopes that some Montana Freeper might be able to help finding homes for these dogs. Bless you all who were involved in the rescue!
We Florida Freepers are animal lovers too.
Amen. Strays and rescues never forget what you’ve done for them, and they are the best!
Thanks Seek! I’m an NM FReeper and dog lover!
This same rescue organization also took in 9 cats and 21 chickens the same night they took in these dogs. What great work these and all the rescue organizations do!
I’ve been getting rescue dogs for quite a while now and have found that they become the best dogs.

We have a pommy we got from our daughter when they moved to AK and then we got a pound puppy and you are so right! She is so loving, caring and is so thrilled just to be here. I know she’d lay down her life for us without hesitating if we needed it.
Bowser wasn’t exactly a rescue dog. The people I got him from, gave him up because they loved him. They just couldn’t let him out without having him on a leash. Here he has a good half acre of free roaming fenced in area full of bushes and critters.
I took the picture this morning while he was watching chipmunks in the tree.
Wish I could help. My brother-in-law is driving up two dogs from Joplin. (they lost their owners in the tornado.) Both are mixed breeds and rather traumatized.....so I don’t know what I’m getting myself into. But they will be well loved and well fed. I am such a soft touch when it comes to animals.
The first rescue dog I got was a snapping snarling ball of rage in Jack Russell form. He had been mistreated and passed around. The vet said that he had several broken bones in the past.
He became quite a loving little dog but he would still bite if startled or if I got my face too close.

(The NM list is available on my FR homepage for anyone to use. Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)
Unfortunately, I can’t see the dog pics because the link provided requires logging on to facebook, and my “account” has been “temporarily” locked for about a month, because I somehow misunderstood their question about adding a different email address. God, I hate those morons.
Is there a link to the dogs that doesn’t use facebook?

Link to a photobucket album I set up so you and everyone w/o Facebook can see the dogs. They have about 50% of the dog photos up so far.
Here is a link to their own website, but they haven’t updated it yet with the story of the dogs and their photos.

Thanks for caring enough to ask!
Thank you very much!
