Wish I could help. My brother-in-law is driving up two dogs from Joplin. (they lost their owners in the tornado.) Both are mixed breeds and rather traumatized.....so I don’t know what I’m getting myself into. But they will be well loved and well fed. I am such a soft touch when it comes to animals.

The first rescue dog I got was a snapping snarling ball of rage in Jack Russell form. He had been mistreated and passed around. The vet said that he had several broken bones in the past.

He became quite a loving little dog but he would still bite if startled or if I got my face too close.
