The old dog sleeping on my floor, where she spends her days now, was a rescue puppy. She is none too pleased with the new puppy that showed up on my doorstep a couple of weeks ago. But that’s life. There are always new pups and cats looking for homes.

I have dogs because I live near the Crow Indian Reservation. The Crows are cruel, mean and nasty to anything weak. Cowards to a man who gets in their face. The money to save these animals will be better spent exposing these cowardly pigs.

Be that as it may, these are still 32 innocent dogs that didn’t hurt anyone. They were all owned by one owner whose roof fell in due to the heavy rains. None of the dogs were abused - some of them are a little thin and some of the puppies have a cough that is being checked out by a vet.

The owner just was forced to give up her menagerie because the house was condemned and she is being allowed to keep one of the animals.

You certainly have a right to your opinion and I have no reason to doubt what you say, but the dogs have already been rescued so why not help these folks find good homes for the pets? It’s not going to hurt anyone.

Like I said we have “5”. Two are from this local monstrosity of a reservation. One is a dog that was 1.7 lbs when we got him. He averages 4lbs as normal. Cracked bones in his front legs and broken ribs. I try to piggyback any article that deals with American natives so I can point out the horrible cruelty of these “noble” peoples.

Good luck with the animals and your 100% correct. They are innocent.

Your poor little dog had to be terribly abused. I’m so sorry and I’m happy that he’s found a loving home with you.

Thank you for the information and good luck with your 5.

I don’t know that I was ever on or near the Crow reservation when I lived in MT. I was in Browning several times but not sure which area you refer to. I still miss a lot of MT. I enjoyed living there.

It’s 50 miles east of Billings. Right next to Hardin, MT which is where I live outside of.

A number of local people have taken it upon themselves to remove abused animals when we see them. They are then taken to certain medical care and if they can be adopted then 99% are.

What makes us all even sicker leapfrog is that they often treat their own children the same way. They are then only judged by tribal members who often did or do the same things and even if they murder one are given the max. 1 year in jail.

I wish I could help you. The son of the owner (killed in the tornado) of these dogs drove up here a couple of weeks ago to claim them. It was a joyful reunion for them. They recognised him right away and were thrilled to see him. I hated to see them leave, but they went where they needed to go.

On the up side, my mother-in-law, who lost her home and all her belongings in the tornado, just moved into her new home today.

Please continue to pray for the wonderful people in Joplin. They have a long way to go.

I hope your friend finds her bulldog.
