Don’t Muslims consider dogs ‘unclean?”
If so, it was insensitive for the US to take a dog on this expedition to kill/capture Bin Laden.
Look for Obama to apologize to Pakistan, Osama’s family and Muslims everywhere for this desecration.
I talked to my dog. He says to let the cats take point and draw fire. He says him and his dog buddies have been working on an experiment where they load cats into cannons instead of projectiles. Their record is a Siamese who sailed 25 miles. The dog says they’re good for distance, but not much for accuracy. He says each cat is only good for one shot. Try using the cat again and they’ll tear you up with those claws the minute they see the cannon. And the enemy just puts out a ball of yarn and there goes that mission.
My kittehs are very patriotic and say they’ll sign up right away.
I think they just want to play paratrooper though. I swear I heard them saying it looked like fun, and that ripping silk is easy.
LOL, very cute. I’m amazed that’s from Slate.
Here’s a link to a very good article that was in “Science Times” about the use of dogs in Special Operations. I was really surprised at how good it was. Well written, informative, and no pussy-footing around (pun unavoidable). It addressed the point you make, and actually stated that dogs are very effective in Muslim lands because Islam is down on dogs and so people are afraid of them and unfamliar with them.
It was like reading something from decades ago, when the Times was a good paper.

Very smart kitteh. I agree completely about the ossimness of his hoomin.
I’m tempted to try and mix some RDX with cat food. My cats are experienced mine-layers.
Yep...this Kitty was in the war room! Note the stark attention and focused appearance.
