There are lots of books on how to make a proper confession. An App is simply bringing it into the 21st Century.

It's my understanding that the app is for a program that helps a person with an Examination of Conscience IN PREPARATION for the Sacrament of Penance. It is NOT a substitute for the Sacrament, and was never meant to be, the breathless reportage of the media, and the barbs of TV comics, notwithstanding.
