'Golden Voice' Ted Williams Bails on Rehab

Ted Williams -- the homeless man with the "Golden Voice" -- has left rehab against medical advice, less than two weeks after checking in for drug and alcohol dependency ... TMZ has learned.

Our sources say Ted -- who decided to go to rehab earlier this month after a taping of the Dr. Phil show -- left the Origins Recovery Center in South Texas moments ago and is on his way to the airport.

Ted's girlfriend is currently in rehab at the Safe Harbor facility in Costa Mesa, California.

Homelessness is, plainly put, a mental illness. When a recently former homeless person suddenly has the wherewithal to not be homeless, he still has the same mental illness that played the role in their homelessness to begin with.

On the plus side he will be the most successful panhandler out there. Every other driver will ask him to do a golden voiced radio announcement and then give him some money. I’m predicting Williams will haul in at least $500 per day doing celebrity panhandling.
