CHICAGO -- Quarterback Jay Cutler left Sunday's NFC championship game in the third quarter with a knee injury.

You can play the position hurt but that doesn’t mean you play it well. YA Tittle played the second half in’63 vs the Bears with torn ACLs in 0 degree weather. The Giants lost 14-10 and Tittle did nothing. Dilfer wasn’t seeing the passes Cutler was throwing. They were ruptured ducks because his knee gave him no support.
Dude....I was at a party, and that was the consesus....how did the doctors not let him play if an x-ray wasnt done?
KMA.......you obviously had lame friends.......just sayin. :)
No mas!

I heard a sideline reporter say Cutler could not ride the exercise bike on the sidelines after leaving the game... not much need to do an x-ray immediately if he couldn’t ride a stationary bike now is there?
“He had all of the prep and would be able to help the others but he sat...”
I watched parts of the game (no vested interest).
But that is the part that caught my eye too - thought the same thing.
You’re correct. I saw several tweets from players NOT in the Championship games mouthing off about Cutler.
My two cents—the Bears coaching stunk. The team came out flat. Why wasn’t Hanie at the second string position, especially after Collins performance earlier in the season. He should have gotten more practice reps. The “vaunted” Packers didn’t look too good against the Bears third string quarterback. I don’t consider either of this year’s Super Bowl teams as “great.” Of course, as a Bears fan, I will be hoping for a Steelers win.
I didn`t want any friends. I just had to listen to all my lame, thought they deserved everything under the sun and didn`t want to work, useless employees. : )
And the sports radio/tv announcers....
Well, seeing as he already lost a starting job to Kyle Orton, good luck with that.
Haney shows that he had enough to win the game. Obviously the problems on offense weren’t the personnel surrounding Cutler.
Not that I mind, mind you......my Packers are Superbowl Bound!!!!
Hanie reported on the Chicago local sports news that Cutler was a great help to him and was giving him help from the sidelines. You only saw 5 second camera shots.
If so then that’s then Jay’s a pro. Thanks for the info.
Sorry for the typing/editing skillz :)
When did he lose the stating job to Orton?
In Denver. McDaniels dumped him.
The curse of the “one”, how prophetic.
Sorry Bears fans, no dog in this hunt, but I just couldn’t stand to see that mug on tv during the game.
The introduction of Hanie into the game sort of reminded me of Packers vs. Cowboys in 2007 for an NFC playoffs berth, where Favre left the game due to injury and the little-known Packers backup QB Aaron Rodgers took over finishing with 18 completions of 26 attempts, 201 yards, and 1 touchdown -- in basically what amounted to a single quarter of the game.
... This, at a time when people were wondering if Aaron Rodgers wasn't a wasted draft pick that should have been left with the San Francisco 49ers.
Now look at Aaron Rodgers: Beastman of the Frozen North.
I remember the biggest game of Cutler’s senior year at Vanderbilt. Playing behind in front of rabid Tennesseee fans in Knoxville Cutler took Vandy down the field in the final minutes to win the game and silence the 104,000. I thought then that Cutler had ice in his veins and some real heart.
But he may not have the great career of Bill Wade who was another Chicago Bear QB from Vanderbilt who was loaded up with more talent.
Dude, that is totally the upside for me.....couldn't STAND for Obama to do that. Thank God for small favors! :)
Hanie showed some flashes that should give Bears fans hope.
As a Packers fan, I look forward to more meaningful Packers-Bears games. Rivalries should really mean something, and over the years one team or the other has been terrible.
It shouldn’t be another 70 years before the Packers and Bears meet in the playoffs.
