Any other Walgreens shoppers out there who have been using the Super Jingles Cash deal? I have BAD news for you. Walgreens has BROKEN their promise. From last Sunday until yesterday, if you spent at least $25 at Walgreens (BEFORE coupons) you got $5 back. Because of my great coupon skills I was getting anywhere from $25 to $40 worth of stuff for much less than a buck out of pocket PLUS I earned $5 Super Jingles Cash. Soooo...today I go out in the morning and did a typical deal with the coupons again and guess what? NO super jingles cash even though my purchase was well over $25 before coupons. Why? Because as I found out Walgreens has gone back on its deal. They changed it to $25 in purchases AFTER coupons.
Now maybe that deal wasn't working out for them. They should have figured that out in advance. Now they have earned ill will because of going back on their deal. Really bad PR there, Walgreens.
Doesn't bother me a bit since we have a duck lake out back with ducks taking craps all over the place.
You’re from Missouri and don’t know any home cookers? You should be stuck in a dark corner with the cheap booze.
But I did just check out HotCouponWorld.com earlier. I felt pretty good that my thoughts of restaurant.com and buying restaurant gift cards were mentioned. I've tried to turn others on to restaurant.com and have told friends of when restaurants have gift cards with a 20% bonus.
Recently the Meijer store had Del Monte canned veggies for 50% off. They also had a 1 day special of buying a $50 Meijer gift card for $45. So I bought $300 worth of $50 gift cards, then bought my groceries, including a few months of canned veggies. Might not be as good as what you do, but I'm learning.
I was on a Yahoo forum one time, and the libs over there are goofy. They whine and complain about those more frugal. They call them hoarders. Forget that the stores are full of groceries, and that if they ran out, they'd restock or give you rain checks. That they could do the very same "hoarding". They have no clue about buying today what you might need tomorrow. Its amazing the mentality of people today. People will tear down someone who cuts coupons and tracks deals, but think nothing of someone who buys a $400 cell phone, and spends $100+ a month for cell phone service w/ internet and texting, while out of work.
Sounds to me you have a level head. May the coupon force be with you PJ! Keep clipping!
I'm not so sure that Walgreens would consider that punishment.
I've been in worse places. :)
Glad you were able to get out of them.
Any word yet on whether the glitch has been fixed? Right now there is a terrific Walgreens deal on ActivOn Arthritis or Joint & Muscle. Buy it for $7.99 and you get $7.99 in Jingle Cash. Like getting it for free PLUS it gets you towards the $25 where you get $5 Super Jingle Cash BUT I don’t want to do this deal until I find out that I can use my Register Rewards to pay for this and still get my Super Jingle Cash. Last week I could do this deal but yesterday’s change would nix this routine.
It sounds like Walgreens has changed Super Jingle Cash again.
It's now being reported Super Jingle Cash is earned before manufacturer coupons.
Reader couponmama shopped at several area Walgreens last night and receive Super Jingle Cash based on her before manufacturer coupon total.
This morning, reader JB tells up that coupon forums are reporting Super Jingle Cash is working exactly like the rules say it should. Super Jingle Cash is earned after all applicable discounts (Walgreens coupons) and before manufacture coupons.
If you any concern what will happen at your store, print a copy of the Jingle Cash Information from Walgreens website and take it with you to the store. At the bottom of the page, is where you will find the info of when/how Super Jingle Cash is earned.
If I can get definite confirmation of this, it would be terrific. With only about 3 bucks out of pocket, I can score a whole bunch of useful stuff totalling over $25 PLUS earn a total of $12.99 on the Jingle Cash with each purchase. The $7.99 earned from the ActivOn Arthritis stuff I can use towards buying EIGHT bottles of AXE body wash for almost nothing by using my BOGO coupons. That Axe Body wash purchase for almost nothing will earn me another $5.00 in Super Jingle Cash which I can use the following week. I figure to have at least $400 in Super Jingle Cash going into next week.
yes, it is working
Goody hair thing
2 axe
revlon nail color (Use coupon in Bright and Beautiful book)
activon
walgreens something or other on Wednesday..energy booster???can’t remember what it is...
gets you to 25 ..so the only thing you pay for is the axe which ends up being free from Super Jingle cash.
Wondering if they will make an announcement for something really terrific for week leading into Christmas.
The ultimate goal is to get enough stuff to barter for Kite Boarding rig plus lessons.
Nothing exciting for the week of Christmas unless it comes in a 4 day ad..except for Colgate toothpaste.
No Super Jingle Cash.
For Christmas week the l’oreal everstrong or everpure shampoo or conditioner looks promising. Buy 2 for $5 RR. Here is what I am thinking use the $1 coupon on the Colgate. Buy with $5 Super Jingle Cash from week before which leaves you $3.50 left over for the L’Oreal. Maybe coupons out there to knock the price down. Gotta investigate that. But I do notice that a lot of bargains are added in at last minute so sit back and wait for that.
sounds like they made a mistake & decided to correct it.
oh noes
Yeah, but I got screwed out of about $40 in Jingle Cash on Saturday.
sounded like you’d already profitted previously before they corrected their mistake.
I love Walgreens....
are you sure? who was really doing the screwing?
besides if the program can be cancelled or changed without notice, (as with most such offers) then what? demand obama pass jingle bucks stimulus?
(sorry could not help it, the joke was just too easy)
