Let me put it this way, if I had something already in the works that would fall under the umbrella of “service”, after reading this article, I’d cancel.

The Knights of Columbus instituted the Heroes Fund on September 12, 2001 and provided $3,500 in immediate relief to the families of Emergency Personnel killed in the attacks regardless of religious affiliation. On September 13th we established a scholarship fund for any of their children who want to attend a Catholic college. Then there’s the Blue Mass. We didn’t do this because Barack changed the meaning of September 11. We know what it means. We also don’t need him or his wife to tell us to volunteer. We did it 125 years before she was proud of her country.
