Since the recent to-do with the change of FR's IP address, I've been having problems seeing the state (or region) flag images on FReeper pages. They all come up as broken links, although if clicked they still go to the blog for the appropriate state. What gives?
That indicates I'm in a state of confusion.

Can’t believe nobody said it...

Glad to see your post, thought that I was the only one. Computer is on it’s last legs it is. Looking for a new laptop.
<td width="1%"> <a href="/perl/profiles?location=61" title="Illinois Message Board"><img border=0 src="/images/flags/us/illinoiC.gif" width="68" height="50"></a> <td width=10><br>
The good news is, because of the title attribute, you can still tell it's Illinois by mousing over. And the link still works if you click, you get sent to the Illinois message board.
The bad news is, no Illinois flag, because http://www.freerepublic.com/images/flags/us/IllinoiC.gif gives a 404. Also, minor nit-pick: no closing </td> to balance the opening tag. But browsers don't care ...
Probably got lost in the rubble after the recent server problems, and John Robinson hasn't yet got around to restoring the location flag collection.
Yep!
Same here. Also, the “Page views” statistic has been a) Not showing up on new threads, and b) not updating on old threads, for about a week.
Yes... Same Problem...
Maybe people are tired of the same ole thing...
Ditto.
