Man dies after jumping from Card Sound Bridge
A Miami man is dead and another seriously injured after the two jumped off the Card Sound Bridge "just for fun," Thursday afternoon.
Jorge Suarez-Taupier, 24, died from his injuries and his friend, 20-year-old Isaac Morejon, barely survivde the plunge.
Card Sound Bridge is a toll bridge in Key Largo and is about 60 feet above the water.
Authorities said the two men were drinking beer and fishing befor they made the decision to spice up their evening by jumping into the water.

My brother Bill used to climb up on the top of the Finley River bridge, wait until everyone got hysterical, and dive off head first into the water.
He also used to jump off the roof of the house into the backyard pool which was not very big, and only 12 feet deep at the deep end. (Too shallow to permit a low diving board per the builders).
In later years he participated in diving contests in Hawaii, I think he placed 3rd a few times.
I always thought it was a stupid thing to do, but it was only one of many other silly dare-devil things he did.
