One of Marilyn Monroe's Bibles is now for sale at the Art & Artifact gallery in Los Angeles, CA (approx. 130 miles N of San Diego) as well as one of her rings and the only known photograph of Marilyn Monroe and President John F. Kennedy together - taken after she sang "Happy Birthday Mr. President" - perhaps the most well-known public performance of the song in history.

Today, June 1st happens to be Marilyn Monroe's birthday. She was born Norma Jean Mortensen in 1926, eighty four years ago, in Los Angeles, California. Coincidence? I think not. All very strategic planning for the many fans who could possibly be interested in owning any of these three fine collectibles.
Marilyn was said to be well read, her personal library consisting of "Works of Literature, Art, Drama, Biography, Poetry, Politics, History, Theology, Philosophy, and Psychology"

There was a whole group of kids that they hung around with at the time. Just a day of having fun at the beach....I have a couple of pictures somewhere. I've wondered a few times if her daughter would want a copy of them. (if she didn't think I was some kook)
A beautiful woman, filled in both places where women should be. Also highly intelligent, despite her public image. Unfortunately, like so many otherwise intelligent women, she had poor taste in men (Arthur Miller being the only decent one of the lot, if you exclude his pink-to-red politics, which I have difficulty doing).

I think Elizabeth Taylor isn’t really a disgrace. She’s survived into old age in an industry that usually makes mincemeat out of its starlets. She lived while Marilyn died. She was the smart one. I think Liz is happier than Marilyn and still living life as well as she can.
I think Arthur had problems with her because she didn’t respect herself. I read that she once came downstairs looking for him, stark naked and he got really upset about it. He was in the middle of a card game with friends when that happened.
If she had left the sex kitten in the studio, I think her married life would have been different.
