I think of those ugly things every time I see a Quizno’s and don’t go in.
So, the marketing geniuses were right, it aided recall, lol.

The really creepy thing about the Mayflower ad is that THERE ARE NO STRINGS TO HER EYELIDS! (Yelling on purpose.)Even creepier is all the guys pulling her strings while looking up her dress.

Yeah.... that damn thing is almost as creepy as any clown.
If the “Halloween” movies were made today, I’m sure Michael Myers would be wearing one of those “king” masks. lol

Glad I missed that one, lol.
Seems to have been the trend for a while. In 2008, McDonald’s was advertising their Fillet O-Fish sandwich heavily for Lent on radio. They had a very gay, very southern and somewhat sentient fish sandwich. Why, I can’t honestly say, but they did.
Voiceover was done by the same guy who does Mayor Bee on Family Guy. “Here Ah see-ut awl teeender ‘n deliiishusss ... Haaay!”

Oh, i am sorry to hear that. Sometimes people are traumatized for life by bad childhood experiences.
I don’t blame you for not liking this odd commercial!

OK, so I’m a marketing professional of quite some years (including a Fortune 5 corporation). I know a little bit about branding, positioning, messaging, etc., etc., ad nauseaum.
The ad is idiotic.....and I’m with you; more than a bit creepy.
To: chris37
She has fish lips, so I cant take her seriously.

I think that more than half of the commercials I see have me saying “I don’t get it”. Mayflower is not doing themselves any favors. It wasn’t until the 3rd time I saw it that I realized who the promoter was.

Ah, that’s a great pic. Had to save that one.
But yes, the marionette’s lips look pretty much exactly like that.

I haven’t noticed, but it’s probably on purpose to make you think that’s she not really a marionnette? (am I spelling that right?) She has a soul? STUPID STUPID STUPID.

Broadview Security ads are the ones that drive me nuts. White females are in constant danger because of menacing white males in dark hoodies. White men in matching golf shirts rescue damsels by calling endangered females on the phone.
I do question the wisdom of endangered females running upstairs or into bedroom to answer the phone, instead of getting the heck out of the house (especially in the broad daylight).
