Sorry for the vanity, but mad as heck and not going to take it. I was with my 16 yo daughter getting a lost driver's permit replaced. She was asked to remove her jacket, which was not touching her face. I objected, pointing out 2 women who went before us in line were not required to remove their hijab, which was touching their face. I was told they did not have to remove those articles for religious reasons. I then told them my daughter was wearing her coat for religious reasons. Didn't get me very far, but I am tired of this and am considering filing a civil rights complaint with the attorney general's office. As caucasian Christians, we were discriminated against on the basis of race and religion. What say you?

This oughta be entertaining at the AG Holder’s office....
Totally agree with you. Go for it! Let us know how it turns out.
Well depends on whether the lady behind the counter was black or wearing a hijab.
Who?
What?
Where?
Why?
How?
Try to use it as a checklist.
You should be grateful you aren’t Muslim, and try harder to avoid government institutions from now on.
Yeh right....Get a hobby....
Political Correctness has gone WAY TO FAR and has to come to a stop.
Seriously. How long are we going to put up with our liberties being eroded in the name of political correctness? I don’t care if they remove their hijabs or my daughter can keep her coat on - makes no difference to me. But I cry discrimination and turn the leftists tactics back on them.
Maybe non-Muslims should co-opt the hijab and wear them with anti-Islam-cult-submission slogans on them. Wonder what would happen...probably be charged with a hate crime.
The headdress and burqa crowd are a relatively modern trend.
On the same note; I've decided to get an ADT home security system instead of the Broadview because it looks like Broadview(formerly Brinks) security systems will only protect my family against angry white males. Sadly that's not the demographic group involved in most rapes, home invasions and burglaries in my area.
TAW
Pray for the soul of that lovely child.
Islamic societies have always had dress codes for female modesty that involved the females covering their heads and bodies in public. What differed were the types of dress and extent of the codes, which varied from region to region.
A coat cult? Seriously--good luck.
This country seems terribly backward lately when it comes to treating its citizens fairly. I would find out if that is a policy of all the DMV’s in your state, or if some knucklehead is interpreting the rules in some strange way. I would complain loudly either way.
Mom, I say “go for it”. Good for you to start standing up for our Christian rights.
All ready for a marriage ceremony?
