A drunken elk killed his wife. Much more serious than a sister's moose bite.

Note from the article that European Elk are also known as “Moose”.

Maybe she recently watched Bambi? Tried to pet a wild animal?

When a person contemplates the many dangers out there and ways that their life might end, drunken elk are somehow never taken into account.

I bet if the moose had smoked some ganjah this wouldn’t have happened! (Sorry counldn’t resist)

Not passing the smell test.
What were the injuries? The dog would have scared off an elk. Where was the dog found?
Hubby could have walked with her, killed her & left to establish an alibi.
Poor old curious elk may have just sniffed/licked at her body before hubby returned to “find her”.

I guess you need a Norwegian Elk Hound to prevent that possible death.

I did not read the whole piece. Is the breed of dog mentioned? Maybe the dog was not very feisty. And maybe a drunken elk feels bullet- and dog-proof.

Oh, just one more question if you don’t mind sir. I’m sure there’s an innocent explanation but I’m just trying to get it straight in my mind. Why did you have a box of moose slobber in your trunk?

Not sure if you are poking fun at my scenario; I suppose I should have added that the elk’s appearance at the scene of the crime was just one damn lucky happenstance for the hubby.

Stupid hunters get killed by white tail deer just about every season so why would an animal several times that large and a bit more aggressive, the case of a moose, not be able to kill a woman?

You can get a nasty crack in the head from a tree limb too!
That is why I would like to learn the type and extent of her injuries to demonstrate an elk was responsible.
I’m pretty sure if I were the grieving family - that would be comforting information to have.

Unless they have the elk attack on video “probably” is generally the best they can do.
