The following joke was posted on Yahoo yesterday:
Q: Why is Obama going to let the North Korean missile hit Hawaii? A: Because then he can say that THEY destroyed his Birth Certificate! LOL.
Upon posting, comments were made that this was a racist effing joke, that the poster was a racist mother-effer, and that he should get the eff off Yahoo.
I saw no racial component to the joke at all, and it was WAY funnier than David Letterman's about Sarah Palin's daughter. What do YOU all think?
Remember the worldwide uproar caused by cartoons of Mohammed in a Danish newspaper. Obama is god to most liberals and cannot be ridiculed in any manner. The charge of racism is the weapon of choice for liberals.
Link?
Psychologically they can't afford to...because if its about his ideas....well, its about their ideas...and they are narcistically wedded to their minds...
It is a rubbish joke, but you’re right = it’s streets ahed of Letterman’s...
Sen. Robert Byrd thought “the White House finally got a lawn jockey”, but then one of his aides told him it was the President
In 2012, the RNCC, just by convening to select an opponent to Obama, will be labeled racist.
Right on, M.A.H.
Thank you so much for this link.
Don’t shut up.
Here is the decision tree on whether its a racist joke.
1. Does it in any way refer to a minority group (need not actually be a racial group)? If YES, proceed to #2. If NO, don’t give up yet and proceed to #2.
2. Is it at the expense of a liberal or a liberal group?
If YES, it is an effing racist joke. If NO, then you need to lighten up and understand that its just a joke.
I had long noted (at that time) that the vernacular "bad" meant good ... "Them some bad threads" ... "Tha's a bad mo-sheen"
I also got saved in '81 and I had read in scripture that the good and bad had been reversed in Isaiah's time ... so this is nothing new.
The war we are in is spiritual and we wrestle not against flesh and blood.
ANY joke about Hussein is automatically racist. You know that.
Welcome to the Citizens Constructive Pedantry Club, or “sipk.” Get ready to be flamed about half the time if you correct anyone’s vocabulary, grammar, syntax, or spelling while innocently trying to be helpful. ;-)
And yeah, it bugs me all the time too, mainly because it distracts from the point, usually very pertinent and worthy, that the poster is making.
You are correct, missiles are like Pit Bulls, if they have the right owner they are docile and make good pets, but once the NorKOs get them they become vicious. We have to blame the owners of the NK missile, not the missile it self. Bozo is merely trying to make things easier on the poor mistreated missile.
Vanity?
Saying anything against a non-white is racism. (As is calling for lower taxes, according to some on the left.) Except if it’s a conservative non-white. Then all the racist caricatures one can think of are justified. Ask Clarence Thomas or Condoleeza Rice.
Even George Orwell would be surprised at how right he was.
The only “race” I see referenced is the North Koreans, unless they’re talking about an arms race...

LMAO!
Anyone correcting another poster on FR is an arrogant jerk. Condescending and arrogant. If a poster manages to get their point across their grammar doesn't matter. If the spelling is atrocious enough, well it can matter.
When you chose to correct people on FR you aren't doing it to be helpful, you are doing it to demonstrate just how much smarter and well educated you are than the peons who actually dare post on these threads. Yes, you can expect to be flamed for correcting people on FR and you deserve it.
OTH, commenting about journalists, who are supposed to be correct and make their living writing, is perfectly acceptable, because they hold themselves above others and should have their grammar and spelling as close to perfect as possible.
