Why Is Free Republic Allowing Liberal Trolls To Stay?

There are some really annoying liberal trolls on Free Republic who have survived for months and years without being banned. Why is Free Republic allowing them to stay? We have enough liberalism and left wing lunacy on 90% of the media and we do not need this crap on this forum.
It is not difficult to spot these trolls. A quick review of their posting history will prove without any shadow of doubt that they are liberal trolls. Some of them try to mask it but they cannot fool the vast majority of us.
There are plenty of left wing forums which will welcome them that if they are not already registered and active members there.
It is time to get rid of them.
Hit the abuse bottom on them and hit it often.

Do we really want left wing lunatics who defend Obama and his socialism on this forum? Got any examples?

Agreed, Hunter had better principles than McCain, but the fact remains that in every poll taken, Hunter barely appeared on the radar. If the conservative base came full out for Hunter, well maybe, but could we win without the moderates in independents that probably would have been turned off by Hunter’s message?

Moderates and Indies get pulled in by the marketing. With a full war chest, Hunter could have easily kept up and "moved the Center".
No. The original failing was the GOP leadership's. They could have leaned on the RINO's and kept them from watering down the message. As it was, they tried to "out populist" the Dem's with an aging RINO and got massively pw3nd for it.

I know your sign up date is june 03. But were you by chance around back in 98-00 time frame when it was basically the old whitewater forum? There were some hell’va knock downs/drag outs during that campaign season. There where among others the Buchanan Brigade, Keyesters, Bushies, etc and it got interesting.
Like you I think it will get pretty nasty come the 2012 campaigns.

So it's quantity and not quality that this conservative site is after?
When it comes to the internet, quantity is of the utmost value.
Sure, FR is a subscriber paid website. It doesn't depend upon advertising for its existence. However, with fewer people as members, the dollar support also dwindles.
Also, if a website doesn't have the high traffic to flaunt on the internet, then there will be a lot of people who won't even bother to visit, and with less visitors comes a lower number in the membership ranks, and with fewer members and fewer posts, you won't have too many in the rest of the internet or in the outside world coming to your site for quotes or for finding out how the "conservatives" feel about a particular issue.
But, when it comes to the quality part of it...
Why would it be of higher quality just because you have strictly "conservative" members and conservative viewpoints on the site? How would most posts sound if most of what you were to get were agreements amongst the members? It would get very boring very fast, and boring is not quality.

Personally, (and I say this somewhat seriously) I have wonderd if Hussein Obama is the anti-Christ and therefore doubt that anyone could have beaten him last year.

I was lurking back then. I remember the 2000 nomination campaign. Not too much has changed, frankly. Nor should it, with the exception of keeping the personal insults to a minimum.
