College courses these days are geared towards producing mind numbed moron zombies that spout propaganda slogans and follow the lie of the day.

President Bush’s Chief of Staff is briefing him on the current news from Iraq. The president seems to be nodding off, but when the Chief of Staff announces “Two Brazillian soldiers were killed yesterday,” the President suddenly sat up straight, grew wide-eyed and exclaimed, “That’s terrible!” The room was silent for a moment, then after a few moments of silence the President leaned in and asked, “How much is a Brazillian?”

Here's a joke, though I don't think it would be classified as a 'good joke' ...

'Terpfen'

When the trees start creaking and emittig something that sounds like the word ‘wander’ and then actualy begin doing so -then worry.
Once the wandering forest starts migrating, there’s nothing you can do to stop it.

Anything that comes out of Berkeley has got to be tainted by Code Pink.

Not everything. Our departing priest, and all the candidates to replace him, came from our seminary in Berzerkely.

I suspect they are also sequestering carbon. Maybe they're expecting a coming shortage of the air that they breathe.

Lady Nevelle's Ground - Purcell, from the book of that name.

My dear husband got me my very own harpsichord for our 25th wedding anniversary.

That's the maker at the keyboard. He's a chiropractor by day, and makes harpsichords in his garage by night.

Which sounds kinda loopy, but the best harpsichords are made by the old fashioned hand methods, not the pseudo-piano types with the heavy mechanism that were popular in the 60s and 70s.

Plus our church music director, who really knows, says it's one of the nicest small Flemish-style single-manual harpsichords he's ever played.

It's wonderfukl to have someone who can make such a beautiful harpsichord.
