VANITY - For The Sake Of MY Children

Posted on 02/27/2009 5:48:33 PM PST by Macanudo Maduro

Rush said (in jest I believe) "that if this keeps up, I'm moving to New Zealand". That brought a lot of condemnation on this board. As I have been a lurker here for nearly 10 years, I signed up today - only to post to you good folks that we too are getting out while the gettin is good. We have been involved with the paperwork now for nearly three months, and many more months previous in research. You see, when you reach our age - you do not do something this Big for yourselves, you do them for your children. We will not allow our children to have to pay for our generations destruction of the Greatest country in history. We have no faith that even if the GOP regains some power that things will change - only the pace of our subjugation. We cannot see how this country can be brought back to its Constitutional foundation without a revolution - be it a shooting war or not. There are NO men of honor in our government. So you see, Rush fights his fight with words, and if they shut him down - he will no longer be effective. But if he changes his HQ to NZ, his fight can continue. I on the other hand, have only my ability to soldier - so we are getting the family (5 kids, all under 11) out, and if my fellow countrymen decide they love freedom more than life - I alone will be coming back to join them. Maybe we will be neighbors with Rush. There it is - I (for the most part) respect alot of voices on this forum, and would appreciate some of your views on this. Regards.

Rush’s comment was very tongue in cheek and from what I saw, most freepers understood it that way to.

We trust that as a professional, Rush will do what is best for his program based on the regulations and business environment at the time.

I wish you best of luck in New Zealand. Sometimes I wonder if I will have to move my family out of the US as well someday.

What kind of employment do you envision to support yourself and family in New Zealand? My parents looked into Australia at one time. There were fairly strict rules about having a skill and finding employment. They welcomed productive folks with open arms...slackers need not apply.

My husband and I have a couple of friends that are moving to Sicily. They said it is inexpensive and beautiful.

Art Bell married another young lady in the Philippines after his wife Ramona passed on. The cost of living was favorable, but the storms and humdity didn't sit well. He has since returned to Pahrump with his new bride and new daughter.

Are you prepared for the change in environment and the problems with radical Islamic killers wandering around in the south?

Welcome n00b...

You’ll love NZ if you love socialism...

Other than that you’ll find the geography a condensed USA...

The beaches, mountains, forests, lakes, rivers, plains etc...

Plus fiords like the inland waterway of Alaska...

Yeah, it would be too hot for me too. My cousin did go over and fetched himself a bridge a few years ago and he's got three kids already. The Islamic rebellion there is kind of scary too, don't know what the gun control laws there are over there.

A.) The climate is favorable in the mountains, and air conditioning is everywhere.

B.) The Muslims are confined to certain islands which I would not travel to.

As point of fact, the GOP started all of this. The GOP started the incredibly out of control earmarks, as well as the bailouts/nationalizations.

I’ve been to Sicily many times and just loved it. It’s
been a while but the countryside is beautiful and the
people we met were so friendly. I’d recommend it.

You said — “We cannot see how this country can be brought back to its Constitutional foundation without a revolution - be it a shooting war or not.”

I don’t see that the Constitution is duplicated anywhere else in the world, no matter what country. If one is concerned for the Constitution, what other country is going to have anything like the U.S. Constitution?

Actually, that has already been taken care of. I am very good at what do, and it is a very sought (extra points) after “future growth skill”.

That actually is a great benefit, I only wish the U.S. Cared as much about who they let in.

I wish you luck. For me it's not only the political climate I hate here but also the culture.

I'm tired of the rampant consumerism and pop culture driven society. I tire of the endless strip malls, Wal-Marts, Burger Kings, etc. that make every city look like the others.

I don't know if it's any better anywhere else because the only other country I've been to is the Bahamas. I'm just tired.
