What kind of employment do you envision to support yourself and family in New Zealand? My parents looked into Australia at one time. There were fairly strict rules about having a skill and finding employment. They welcomed productive folks with open arms...slackers need not apply.

Actually, that has already been taken care of. I am very good at what do, and it is a very sought (extra points) after “future growth skill”.

That actually is a great benefit, I only wish the U.S. Cared as much about who they let in.

Here is a summary of the requirements for migrating to Australia. Those over 45 need not apply. Those under 35 with great skills are welcomed.

New Zealand's requiremensts are similar; however, the maximum age is an ancient 56.
