What kind of employment do you envision to support yourself and family in New Zealand? My parents looked into Australia at one time. There were fairly strict rules about having a skill and finding employment. They welcomed productive folks with open arms...slackers need not apply.

I'm tired of the rampant consumerism and pop culture driven society. I tire of the endless strip malls, Wal-Marts, Burger Kings, etc. that make every city look like the others.

I don't know if it's any better anywhere else because the only other country I've been to is the Bahamas. I'm just tired.

I love my country very much. I’ve lived in others and nowhere, NOWHERE compares to the US and I will not cut and run. Running from socialism into socialism?? Even my naturalized husband would not dream of abandoning her. No other country in the world affords its citizens the protections that we have here. I’d rather stay and fight for those protections than betray the the struggles and blood of my ancestors. Kind of difficult to teach my children patriotism if I also tell them ‘If the going gets tough, we can always move somewhere else. It’s not worth fighting for.” If we collapse, the world will follow.

Our family always jokes about leaving for greener pastures. But the point is, this is my Country, my children’s country, my parents country. Our country is certainly having some problems now, but it's still the best one there is.

I've been living in a foreign country for the past five years and I have visited many others. Coming HOME is always the best feeling - even with Zero doing everything he can to mess things up.
