We're down to the last few days of the Bush Presidency. Who among us doesn't have some concern about our nation's security in the months ahead? And will those who criticized the President so constantly on this front not come to recognize the margin of safety he gave us?

Israel continues to destroy Hamas terrorist sites and agents in Gaza,sadly, much to the world's apparent dismay and loathing.

The article about the plane captain is good. He is a true-blue hero. He called his wife to say, “Darling, I’ve had an accident.” He was great. He did everything exactly right and could teach others about what to do in an emergency. (I know. I read the articles.)

I am betting this gives us all a sugar rush, but it's the best I could do. I'm leaving to take mom for a regular dr. visit in a bit. I just don't have time to hunt and search a healthy dish for you.

Well actually that's exactly where we went....only we went to the restaurant part, not the packed stadium with the light snow etc. etc. etc. part.

I had the cheese ravioli and hubby had the pork shank. For dessert we both had blueberry creme brulee, and I had our waitress mix up a wonderful potable concoction consisting of coffe, three kinds of booze (kahlua, bailey's and triple sec as I recall)and a shot of hot chocolate; it was utterly delicious and she received a handsome tip.:-)
