Good evening, and welcome to the new week's thread.
P-E Obama must find a replacement for Bill Richardson, Sec-Commerce designate, who withdrew his name Sunday.
Israel continues its incursions and attacks on Palestinian terrorists, AKA Hamas, in Gaza.
And many of us regroup after a busy season with Family and Friends in December.
We’d always get sand flea bites in FL.
Another awful pest in Florida are the No See Em s (which I think are Knats?) I will itch for days if I get bit by them, especially if they get in your scalp.
LOL, another pest from FL and maybe other states - but we noticed them in FL are Deer Flies. Oh my gosh, those things bite!
Many thanks for the update, Molly Pitcher
Great Threads Ping.

Excerpt from article regarding Obama’s wanting to be put into Blair House earlier:
>>>>The Obamas wanted a special deal, but they did not get it.
The details of the “special deal” need to be spelled out, explicitly. They asked for the Bush Administration to renege on a pre-existing commitment to the former Prime Minister of one of the US’s major allies (and, along with Japan, our MAJOR ally in the Pacific).
And now they’re whining about it. A lot.
As bad as the whining is, the fact that they wanted Bush to pull the carpet out from under the former leader of a major ally speaks volumes as to their approach to foreign affairs. >>>>>
That special deal they wanted really speaks volumes about them.
We have Deer Flies in Wisconsin. You mainly find them by the water. Our former house had a pond and I got bit regularly, but I have never encountered them in Florida. Florida also has a caterpillar(the name escapes me now) that if you get stuck by it, is extremely extremely painful. My DIL was incapacitated for days. I got just poked slightly and was in pain for 2 hours.
How are you? Did you stay put? Your conditions better?
One thing I noticed about one of our chickens after giving them fresh water...one loves to eat snow.
we will always give fresh water..daily, but I was surprised that she was pecking at the fresh snow. LOL
I thought the Blair House story perfect: who better to "displace" the One than the true blue ally John Howard!
Good to know Greg got home safely! Must have been some intense driving.
It is so nice here today, in the 70’s and going to be warmer tomorrow.
Talking about chickens, got to clean out the coop tomorrow, put some fresh pine straw in the coops, they don't scatter the pine straw as they do straw.

He is NOT president yet, wonder if he has to pay the hotel bill for himself and family...

You did a great job of raising her!
Betting you give Triva the credit.
Hello, thanks for the pings. MIL has been in the ICU for the past few days with pneumonia. Which has made it impossible for me to check in here much. She’s doing better today, may be transferred out of ICU today.
oh my... adding her to our prayer list.
The pronunciation is close enough for jazz. We’ll go with it. The folks there are really very nice as long as you realize they’ll steal everything that isn’t nailed down. And sometimes even then!
Oh, I’m sorry she’s been so sick. I’ll pray for her recovery.
Prayers for your mil. ((prairiebreeze and mr. pb))
