CHICAGO - The ongoing corruption probe into Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich took a dramatic turn this evening, as federal agents working for US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald announced that they had seized the governor's eBay account. It is as yet unknown how the latest seizure will effect the outcome of the case.

I don’t read joke threads if I know they are jokes. This was listed as Breaking news..I thought it was important.
“Why cant people forwarn us that something is a joke.”

Indeed.
When you complain, the response is “Well isn’t it obvious that it was a parody?”
Well....no. Hell, no.
As I said earlier, real life is usually stranger than fiction and parody anyway. Examples abound.
laugh it off.....we all need a laugh once in awhile....not usually any breaking news on a Friday night......I just thought it was dang funny when I read it, so I looked and figured Iowahawk meant parody.
Brilliant, as always!
Fine, but many of us don’t know this.

Thanks.
As we will shortly find out there's some darned good reasons no one from Chicago ever before got elected President.
We may stay inoculated against doing that again for 3 or 4 centuries min.
I can just imagine the things a governor could get his hands on and sell on ebay, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a senate seat.
“I guess I give people too much credit.”

No need for snobbery and condescension.
Yeah, this one was pretty obvious, but unless you are yound and/or dumb, you should know by now that REAL life is usually much stranger than any self-penned parody. It can be difficult to discern the two from a HEADLINE ALONE.

One investor told The Wall Street Journal: This is going to kill so many people. Its absolutely awful. Ira Roth, from New Jersey, said that his family had $1 million invested, and that he was in a state of panic."
Now you tell me how you tell the difference between parody and the real thing when you have people running around named IRA ROTH
We may yet hear of Blog's Ebay account being seized by Sheriff Joe Arpaio pending payment for coats and jackets taken from illegal aliens and sold to the governor, and maybe his Craig's List sold at auction at Christy's.
I'm really not sure there's any parody possible with this particular scandal.
2) Rahm's tutu
3) Original Daly Machine part.
His soul. They found out he'd sold already numerous times before.
Love his “udder auctions.” Funny stuff.
As a resident of the Chicago suburbs I must dispute this. We're talking about Illinois politicians. Party affiliation is a geographic detail, and does not represent adherence to a specific political philosophy in Illniois. The real loyalty of the politicians here is to the Combine, that fusion of political, legal and financial power that enables those in power to maintain it by assisting each other regardless of party.

With the disappearance of conservatism on the national stage, I think we are seeing this Big Machine attitude manifested nationwide.
Either that or it is a simple matter that the balls of most Republicans have spontaneously shrivelled to the size of the nucleus of the element Argon...
That’s totally hysterical.
“Illinoise Senator, slightly retarded, still works.”
Funny stuff!
I want to hear what they find on Blogo’s Facebook and/or MySpace accounts.
AMEN TO THAT. It should be ID’up front. It’s a waste of my time and obviously others as well. As soon as I realize what it is I click out of it.
