To the moon, troll, to the moon!

During the cold war, JFK claimed to have gone to the moon. He got congress to spend billions on his moon landing and pretended america landed there, convincing congress to give him billions, the fakeness of the landing is well documented.

It seems to me that this liberal moneybags, that he took these billions for personal use, or maybe gave them to the USSR (we all know he was soft on communism)

Perhaps his death was similarly staged in order to keep his billions or keep congress of his case.

I wonder if under an obama administration we will see more moon landings.

No he didn't.

How silly would it have been for a sitting president to go to the moon.

Whoa!
I don’t think I could stand very long, let alone walk slowly. If I walk fast, I don’t have much of a problem, but walking slowly through a museum would put me in bed for a week.
I’d have to do my sightseeing on wheels. :o[

If I were JFK, I would have wanted a nice cottage on the moon.

I thought of that, believe me!

The good news is that we were at the JW next door to the White House (we saw Marine One land and let the President out -- well, we didn't see the President since they blocked the street off) and it is close to the major sights.

I took a private guided tour or two while we lived there (nine months.) But I hated the area. I hated the climate. I was very unhappy. And then my mother got sick, so I had a chance to leave.

I won’t go back; though the countryside was beautiful, and we toured a lot of the battlegrounds. it was just not “home” to me, which surprised me, because I was a military wife, and adjusted to my environments.

DC has a horrid climate, I hear...nasty as New Orleans in the summer and cold in the winter...and humid....

But I still wanna see the sights.

This the new place for December?

DC has a nasty climate in the summer: air you can drink and water you can’t.

I liked seeing the places I’d always heard about. Arlington Cemetery was awesome. I’ve never been to a cemetery where I felt such “watchfulness.” Almost as if the ghosts of the heroes were still on guard.

Yep. This is December’s home!
