Good morning!
No primaries, no Hillary, but lots to do beginning TODAY to prevent an Obama presidency!
I’d say apparently he (hitler) DID have such a following. He had an entire nation (definately military) bowing to him, murdering at his behest. Many thought Hitler was the anti-Christ.
My husband always says the AC will be from the middle-east. Barack, apparently is part Arab. It could be a possiblity. With the wild weather we’re having, I say “birth pangs” we’re having end-time birth pangs.
Mom always said she hoped to live to see the returning of Christ. I always said “why would you want to live through THAT?” I mean it - it will not be pretty (until the very end).
I’m home from my trip to Texas. I didn’t realize that Austin was green and had rolling hills. Still hot and humid, but very beautiful. I was able to come home a few days early, and of course, caught a chest cold on the way home. So I was out sick Tuesday. But now I am back at work.
For my next business trip, it is a little closer to home. Park City to be exact, about an hour away. It’s a pretty fun place to visit, and I can sleep in my own bed at night.
Thank you for your expressions of concern.
The Iowa City Press Citizen has posted an article on their website warning that Internet service in Eastern Iowa will most likely be lost soon. At first I thought it was just for those who use Quest as an ISP, but apparently Quest hosts stuff for other ISPs.
So I will most likely be absent. For quite a while. The Iowa River currently pouring onto the streets of Iowa City is not expected to crest until June 20. And then there’s the matter of waiting for the flood water to receed and then dry out.
It could be august before I return.
I have someone trying to poach people on my team. :( I was out Monday and Tuesday, and she asked very leading questions about what they were doing. She actually told one QA that if she was doing what he was doing (research and automation), that she would be bored. And then she offered to lend him to another team. Grrrrr. I found out about this today. I am not a happy camper. I am waiting until tomorrow to send a note to her temporary boss. If she has that kind of time to wander around and find work for others, I have a stack of work for her. And so do those 2 guys on my team. /rant is over
Take care. It’s just nasty weather there.
I remember when it flooded in Salt Lake City in 1983. They had a river running down State Street, a main thoroughfare. I also remember filling sandbags.
Signing off. I am going to see if I can fix my network so I can attach to the Internet. I’m going through withdrawals. LOL.
Yep. Austin is what we call "the hill country" of Texas. It's also the liberal capitol of Texas. We concentrated them there so we could keep an eye on them.

Oh GREAT! So it really WILL effect me.
Thank you for that explaination. I can only wait and see.
LOL about Austin.
As for the 2 members of my team, both of them were extremely miffed. They’re both contract employees, and we had a streak of bad luck with contract employees last year. However, these 2 are super. I’d hire them right now if I had the recs.
One felt like he was being watched and was being accused of not doing his job. It will be taken care of, I plan to hire him in January 2009. I try to be a good team lead and treat everyone with respect. I guess that is why it blindsided me. It will all come out in the wash.
And I am back on the Internet. I have no idea what I did to make it work. Pffft. Computers. Still an art, not a science.
Nighty night. :)
And, I am going to buy a new laptop. Except as of June 30, you can only buy Vista. Pffffft. Vista is just not user friendly (trying to keep it G-rated here.) They do offer a downgrade to Windows XP Professional though after you buy Vista. Pfffft again. What to do, what to do. Do I see a Mac in my future???
I manually put in my IP address because if it's automatic it shows as a 169 IP.
Good Morning.
I’m leaving soon for Chicagoland. Will be back Sunday.
Good morning, IG. All you in the flooded areas are in my prayers. Your post to Dog about not giving up is so true.
Take care. Good morning.
Sarah suprised me with Glenn Beck tickets. His show was very good, as usual.
I’m listening to Fox and Friends. They are reporting that President Bush is thinking of converting to catholicism.
Oh my that looks scrumptious!!!!!
