That RICE is ABSOLUTELY hilarious, Jem! I was lockstep with gc6 and was thinking exactly the same thing he was that it was some exotic oriental-Asian treatment! LOL!

That is sweet, Toby. He is a darling.
Good Morning Everyone.
To: kassie
We’re expecting rain for the next 4 days, humid up here.
To: tillacum
The sky has opened up and it is REALLY raining hard.

I promise you, I did not make it up. I refer you to
Foot Physicians.com. Check out a paragraph about halfway down the page, next to the toes. The Mayo website uses the accronym P.r.i.c.e, adding a "protect" onto the front and encouraging the use of crutches or a brace.
Sheesh. I'm tired. I'm heading to bed.

LOL! Actually, I had heard of that in the past. I had totally forgotten about it and didn’t even have my memory jogged when you first mentioned it. I only remembered it when you spelled it out. Sleep well.

I heard something ineresting & googled it this a.m. "James Hansen 1988" He is the junk scientist that first came up with the term "global warming".
And, I heard on ABC news (radio) this a.m. that Al Gore got caught using photos from a movie THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW showing glacier melting - it was styro-foam :-) He was saying "here is visual proof of how serious the melting is".
Of course, the lame stream media won't pick up on this little tidbit.

Good Morning!
(It's 'good' now since I got in some zzzzs after the Tues. garbage pickup guy came at 2:30am and my ever-alert doggies joined in the noise. The man NEVER sleeps.)
Excellent links, Molly. Thanks for them all, especially Robert Sowell's.
ANOTHER delicious breakfast, lysie, thanks to you!
A picture of Algore...any pic..., bevlar, is evidence of a JERK. (Incidentally, did you know that he made a D in science when he was in school?)
Little Caleb has adopted YOU, Toby! Sweet.

James Hansen 1988
Not to be confused with Robert Hanssen, the FBI mole...;-))

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE! Wow Ladies! Take care of your ailments. Lysie, you've been given good advice about not waiting - I understand the hip operations are far better than the knee operations and they've improved the procedure so much now.
bev, ouch! Take care...
Jemian, what is RICE? I don't recall the term. YOu take care. It seems you are bumping and knocking and scraping all over the place!
To: Jemian
Oh, you must have taken a Red Cross course at some time.
BTW, I can't find a nearby Adult CPR coourse in time for my fundatmentals of Instruction course that I am taking with the Red Cross.
To: tillacum
Hope it ends for you soon. Wish you could send some down my way.

I’m an easy customer - I don’t bother them
To: All
Well folks, I hope your day is going better than mine. After a stressful morning, and early afternoon, it appears to be getting better. I hope it continues to improve as I go into the evening.
My nerves are at the ends of my fingers.

I have, plus I was a GIRL SCOUT! The other day we were talking about CPR at school and made a comment that CPR had not been developed when I began learning First Aid and that the method I first learned for artificial respiration involved rolling the victim onto their stomachs, folding their arms under the head. Next you knelt at the head so you could press on the back at the rib cage and then move to arms, looking like wings at this point and pull up on the wings. You would rock forward to press on the ribs and then lean back to pull on the arms and alternate this until either the victim breathed or you joined him in exhaustion.

Go to bed, elevate feet, close eyes and visualize yourself in someplace comfortable. Remain there for at least an hour.
Above method often goes by the accronym NAP!

I’d love to, but we have 150 bales of hay coming in about one hour.
