BTW, I can't find a nearby Adult CPR coourse in time for my fundatmentals of Instruction course that I am taking with the Red Cross.
I have, plus I was a GIRL SCOUT! The other day we were talking about CPR at school and made a comment that CPR had not been developed when I began learning First Aid and that the method I first learned for artificial respiration involved rolling the victim onto their stomachs, folding their arms under the head. Next you knelt at the head so you could press on the back at the rib cage and then move to arms, looking like wings at this point and pull up on the wings. You would rock forward to press on the ribs and then lean back to pull on the arms and alternate this until either the victim breathed or you joined him in exhaustion.
