“It’s like gambling somehow. You go out for a night of drinking and you don’t know where you’re going to end up the next day. It could work out good or it could be disastrous. It’s like the throw of the dice.”

Being sober among drunks is a good way to curb your drinking.

Never give coffee to a drunk. Suddenly, you got a wide-awake drunk on your hands

I believe that prudently used, adult beverages in general are proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. Imprudently used, of course, they are not only tools of the devil, but produce vivid previews of Hell.

Alcohol won’t solve your problems, but it will put them in perspective

Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in beer.

My favorite:

"Here's to alcohol, the cause of—and solution to—all life's problems."

Anyone guess the source?

No Doubt. I think he was more alluding to opening up a little of what makes a man tick, but not the emotional backlash that comes from being drunk.

Without booze no one would ever wake up and wonder, “where the hell are my undergarments?”

One surefire way to avoid that problem, drunk or sober is to forgo undergarments altogether.

It's saved this old crab from embarrassment on more than one occasion.

Oh yeah, alcohol and caffeine is a dangerous combination.

First thing the drunk wants to do is go get breakfast at Denny's and then it's all over but the puking...

I prefer Sinatra’s “I feel sorry for people who don’t drink. When they wake up in the morning, that’s as good as they’ll feel all day”

ROTFLMAO!!!!! As a multi-time veteran, I can assure you that a Denny's Grand Slam breakfast tastes much better going down than back up! Same with their biscuits and gravy.
