All kidding aside, I may have to change pillows when I sleep.

You might have something there, lysie! Many years back, my wife bought me a "non-snore" pillow. It was higher at the "neck" end and caused my head to tile back. It worked.

Yesterday I read the article about hillary being fired for lying during President Nixon’s investigation. I think hillary has been a liar and minipulator all of her life.

Opps, Good Morning Everyone.

kassie, we’re supposed to get some pretty heavy rains up here for the next three days.

prairie, you right about hillary, she has no thought of what is good for America and it’s citizens, only what power she can attain through government employment, as a Senator and President. Yes, you are far smarter, because you believe in America and her citizens. hillary as president would be a tyrant similar to those we’ve seen in our lifetime, as would nobama. They’re cut from the same marxist cloth, just different shades.

I have decided that I am going to open an online business selling “carbon offsets.” For those worried about leaving a large carbon footprint, I am here to help you step lightly on the earth.

You can buy a credit for just $50. In return, I will plant a rosebush, fertilize and prune it for five years. I’ll send a certificate and periodic pictures of your carbon offset. I’ll also sell carbon offsets of pine trees, azaelas, rhododendrons, tea olives, magnolia grandiflora and other plants.

Not only will you reduce your carbon footprint but you will be helping to beautify a little corner of the earth.

I don't know about manipulation, but I do know someone who got into the habit of embellishing a story just to make it seem a little more glorious, or extreme, or special. Then, they couldn't stop telling those stories and would also adapt someone else's story into their own. It continued and excalated their entire life. By the time this person died, no one believed them on any detail they shared. It was sad. I don't think that person ever caught on that they were lying. It was a horrible habit. That person also did not need to embellish their life. It was amazing enough with the bare facts.

I was kinda hoping Toby would show up. big sigh.

I am on my way to bed now. It has been a long night and I am tired. Earlier today (about 1300) I got a call from a young man who has sort of “adopted” hubby and I as not quite parents. Anyway, he had taken his real dad to the hospital and the doctors had told them the situation was extreme. Then about 15 minutes later he called me back. His dad had passed away.

We were at the first of many services tonight. It will keep me busy for the next several (maybe 4 of 5) days.

Oh, of that I'm certain. My chivalric code wouldn't allow such a thought into my mind.

But that tilt (not "tile") of the head opens the breathing passages more, helping the body to more fully relax.

Welcome Lantz, glad to have a new Friend! Mr HOB does have a special pillow in addition to the sleep machine. Yes, it is called a CPAK. He got the kind with the humidifier built into it as he was getting dried out from the regular type. It does not make noise more than a very quite hum. He is fervent in his regulation of the water level and knowing when to buy more distilled water.

I much prefer the hum of the machine to the wracking noise he makes that is worse than any skit heard on SNL. (Not that I've heard that many of them on SNL.)

I've been reading Molly's links and while I am angry that she lied, lies, I am still more angry that this is coming out now. What do we have to do to fight the "O" man? His winning the WH terrifies me.

Since I’m not worried about leaving a carbon footprint, does that mean that you’ll pay me the $50?

:^)

Thanks, HOB. I'm here because of mutual FRiends; always glad to have more.

Actually, I'm not unfamiliar with sleep apnea. A sister and my son both require CPAP machines. My doctor once suggested I might have it, but since I sleep alone, there's no one there to bear witness.

We should be terrified -- very terrified -- if either of the 'Rats wins the White House.

Good morning HOB. I've been reading Molly's links too and the enclosed statement from the WSJ piece about Obama has me scratching my head.

For whatever reason, Mr. Obama has failed to do what Mr. Clinton did in 1992 – run as a "new" Democrat who favors some conservative policies (ending welfare as we know it, supporting free trade, criticizing the "butchers of Beijing," and famously criticizing Sister Souljah).

Now, I know my memory isn't what it used to be, but didn't Clinton veto the welfare reform bills at least twice? IOW, before being basically forced to finally sign on?

In view of the Chinese funny-money campaign contributions, the "butchers of Beijing" comment was clearly rhetoric to appeal to voters and the WSJ using it as an example of Clintoon favoring conservative policies is both laughable and disappointing.

Regarding Sistah Souljah.....while I remember about her "never met a decent white person" comment.....I don't recall Clinton's supposed denouncement of her and would speculate that her inflamed racism claims FORCED him into making a public statement againt them, similar to Obama and Jeremiah Wright.

Or am I not remember correctly about these instances??

I seem to remember he confronted, quite forcefully, and she had some sort of a response, Jessie J was there while the confrontation went on, but I can’t remember what was said, but it “proved” he was not afraid to confront a Negro when he disagreed with them.
