I want to go back to DC!!

Me too! I would love to be able to go the end of March for the Cherry Blossom Festival. As I recall, it is about the prettiest time of year to visit DC.

I remember these beautiful cherry trees from when my dad was stationed at the Pentagon. They were young then, so was I. LOL.

Oh, that is a beautiful poem......made me a bit sad though. I really do want to see the cherry blossoms again someday. Have you been to DC when the trees are in bloom?

Thank you. I've been to Washington many times, but oddly enough never during cherry blossom-time, otherwise known as the tax season.

Reliving our trip made me want to see DC again. I don’t think Jim will be interested in another Inaugural Ball but maybe we can convince him to have a “Crying-in-Our-Beer” party next January. : ^ )

As Marissa looked at all of the pictures, she asked if we could go again. Even she enjoyed the memories.

Sounds good to me. I am just so depressed over this entire up-coming election. Jim's candidate was my candidate and, sadly, he didn't survive the nomination process. No matter who wins at this point, I see nothing to celebrate. :-(

If we can’t have a January party, maybe we can have a March or April party. Do you think they would frown on Marissa missing school for a week? I wouldn’t be able to go without her. LOL

Hi, Amy and All FRiends! I've been Enjoying Everyone's Neat Graphics and Poetry, and am about to Follow your Link in Post #560, Amy. It's a Beautiful Day Here where I Live, and the Birds of Spring are just Everywhere; Several are Searching in the Carport for Places to Build Nests. There are 7 or 8 Ducks Swimming in the King's Pond, and Squirrels are Busily at Play. Just a Lovely and Appreciated Day!

Ahhh ... that is such a sweet picture, Kitty Mittens.

Spring is very near here. The little finches are building nests on the patio and are busy reinforcing the ones I didn’t remove last year.

The daffodils look like they should be blooming in another week or 10 days.

Guess that I started her young. She is already asking where we are going for Easter Vacation.
