After reading the articled published in your newspaper Married without children: Finding fulfillment with no kids I dont agree with the views presented in the article. The Eatons seem to feel that children prevent happiness. Children bring and added measure of happiness to a loving couples relationship. Choosing not to have children is a selfish decision and can ultimately lead to an unfulfilled life. If others shared your unique views on families then we would all cease to exist as a species. The argument that women have other things to do has come about in recent years. While this view was heavily adopted in the 90s women today have chosen to leave the full-time position behind to be home with their families at least part-time. The Eatons say that their relationship is strong; this is an ideal foundation for a strong happy family. When we look to those who have children and have made such a great sacrifice to tend to another human and to nurture them through life, these are the people who are truly happy. Raising a family can defiantly be a finical sacrifice for a few years however, through great sacrifice comes great reward, the best things in life dont come without a price. In the article it stated that in the long- term its people who have children who are the happiest, Popenoe. By having children and creating that family unit in a couples old age they can look to their children for care and comfort. The concern of not spending enough time with your spouse is selfish. Having a family and raising a family is a great and rewarding gift that will bring couples closer together. It is ridiculous to think that a shower for a child-free woman should be held. A baby shower is often a gift to the women before she embarks on a life-long mission of self sacrifice. A woman who willingly side steps motherhood forfeits the celebration or the perks that come with the sacrifice. I believe that having a family is one cultural norm our society has in perspective. It is a misconception that the world is over populated. With the generation of the baby-boomer aging and family sizes rapidly decreasing this is a false notion that as people we need to cleanse ourselves of. The commandment given to Adam and Eve by God to multiply and replenish the earth is still in effect today (Genesis 3:6). I hope that couples realize the great blessing it is to bear and rear children in this world. This is a divine calling and a great responsibility to raise a generation of socially aware and compassionate people to carry on the legacy and to be the next Einsteins, Mozarts, Michelangelos and Mother Teresas.

Do they use paragraphs in college? Well, hell, man. The headline says "ITs selfishness." I'm thinking IT is probably being very tight-fisted when it comes to handing out paragraph tags. And I suspect they also refused to issue her an apostrophe.
