so why were they taking the baby to the pub to begin with?
Saw it last night on Private Practice.
Somewhere in The Czech Republic, there is a blond couple getting a divorce..........
And in the surprise ending, their own baby will tracked down and found with parents who’ve been hearing daily comments for the past 10 months about their baby “looks just like” one of them.
That's the kind of "mix up" that could really ruin your day. My wife made sure that I never left our baby unattended. I'm glad she did.
It should be obvious to all.... the zygote was implanted during the abduction.
The problem was that the gray one mistakenly put the wrong zygote in the host.
Moral..... don’t walk home drunk. They’ll get you.
Personally I would rather not know.
They violated one of my cardinal rules of life: “Don’t ask questions you don’t want the answer to.”
Oh dear, this really is heartbreaking. They—and the other couple with “their” baby—are probably head over heels in love with that precious bundle.
And then to find out that baby isn’t “yours” and there will probably be some sort of legal action to make the “switch”. Just rip my heart out right now.
I remember this happened in the US several years back. I remember the girl that both couples were fighting over was, IIRC, named Kimberly. There was a long protracted court battle. As I recall, the “other” child had medical problems, so both couples were fighting for Kimberly. It was all so sad.
this sounds like a good skit for the Dick Van Dyke show...oh wait.
It is possible for a child to have lighter hair than the parents. My parents and brother have dark hair, dark eyes. I was born with blondish hair, blue eyes. But I am definitely their biological child. It’s funny that this story just turned out differently.
My husband and I have a child who looks nothing like either of us. Everyone says so, usually right after they comment on what a good-looking kid he is. (I guess they’re trying to say neither of us is good-looking...lol.) We couldn’t figure out who he resembled. Then, when my father passed away, I came across old photos of him when he was a kid, and I realized he is almost the spitting image of my dad.
good omens?
I recall a thread on FR about the rather shocking % of babies born that did not have the father's DNA. Still bothers me.........
We just had a baby. Before we left the delivery room he got numbered tags on an ankle and both wrists, and my wife got the matching numbered wristband. He also got an RFID tag that triggered an alert if he was taken out of the maternity ward (which was locked at all times). We were very impressed with how seriously the hospital took its security.
“Helix, Make Mine a Double” never made more sense than right now.
They were later to learn their baby was a healthy goat.
