You folks sure talk a lot about humidity. Here in Maryland in the Summertime, I try to ignore it.
But if dew forms on my hot cup of coffee in the morning, I know it’s going to be a rather humid day.

Well, Bob, all I can say is, I like it dry. I can’t have it dry until the monsoons are over with, and that’s the way it goes.
It’s summer, yes, but if it’s too humid for me to go outside for any length of time, then it doesn’t matter what season it is.

Whenever I start to complain about the heat, I just think, it could be worse, I could be back up north.

I love the heat. But I have heart problems if I’m in the humidity because the air is so heavy with moisture that I can’t breathe.
This is the only time of year I make it a point to stay indoors.

But if dew forms on my hot cup of coffee in the morning, I know its going to be a rather humid day. There's a good reason I don't live in Maryland! However, despite it being somewhat a mild day here water is condensing on my glass of ice water.

Well, Bob, all I can say is, I like it dry. I wish I could, but for me it means nosebleeds. I was in ultra-dry high-altitude California just long enough for the precursor warnings to start.

Just uploaded pictures from the new camera for the first time. Here is the very first in the series, a test shot of Mt. Shasta (reduced to 800x600). I had intended to compare it against a similar shot taken with the camera that quit, but I seem to have deleted that shot.

CHERRY - If cherry is your favorite fruit, life isn't always as sweet for you. You often face ups and downs, particularly professionally, and find that you make small sums of $$$, instead of a lump sum. You have a fertile imagination and are often involved in creative pursuits. You are a very sincere and loyal partner, but find that expressing your feelings is not very easy. Your home is your haven, and you love nothing more than being surrounded by close family and your beloved partner. Surprisingly accurate.
Hi Face!

We always wrapped things in several greeen garbage bags, if we had to expose them to the elephants. Never a good idea expose anything to elephants. :)
Sorry. Can not help it.

Never a good idea expose anything to elephants. :) I dunno. Elephants tend to get most things right. It's the jackasses that generally need to be locked in rubber rooms -- at least the barking moonbat variety.

The cameras are proliferating around here! Here are what are (hopefully limited to be) my now three mainstay cameras:
The big one is the one that died (sob) -- Nikon D70 digital SLR with its zoom lens. The tiny one is the one I bought after a situation where I decided I didn't want to lug the big one (big mistake) -- Nikon S3 pocket, with absolutely wretched low-light performance but otherwise fine. The one on the right is the intermediate "turncoat" camera, Canon "S3 IS," that did the heavy lifting on this trip. All are 6 megapixel cameras.
(So what did I use to take these pictures? An old Mavica FD-7 -- and getting pictures off its floppy disk turned out to be a bit of a task as few of the machines here even have a floppy drive!)

Elephants tend to get most things right. So long as you don't lead them into temptation.
